Yin Was amazing! So kind and kept communication open the entire time before we got there. There was something I did wrong on the app at first, and she helped me fix it! The place was gorgeous and perfectly located! 5 stars!

Great location for attending a concert at the Mann in Fairmount park. We were able to walk to the concert in about 15 - 20 mins and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were all really clean and the checkin process was really easy. the 2 cats are very friendly too

Cozy place, lovely host

This guest house is located in a quiet neighborhood and there is plenty of parking. The host was so kind and accommodating. The room was spacious and very clean. The house is a 4 minute drive or 20 minute walk to The Mann. Would stay again if we are in the area for sure.

Yin was very nice and was doing her best to make sure we had a great stay. There was two cats on property one was shy but the other was super sweet and made leaving the room/building a nice experience. It helped us not his out kitty back at home.

Hostel/Dorm in Quiet Neighborhood

Very nice host but this is more of a dorm/hostel than a hotel. No TV in room, shared bathroom, and kitchen was dirty w cat food on floor so we didn’t really stay around much. Two cats on site roaming around that were kind but not advertised during booking. Thin walls so you have to tread softly at night to prevent any disturbance to other roommates. comfy and clean room and quiet neighborhood for the most part. Easy location to jump on 95 to the city but wished we didn’t have to sneak around for fear of disturbing other roommates for the money we spent.

This was a really lovely stay. While it lacked a couple amenities- ie a TV and the ability to control the temperature of your own room- it was very quiet and clean and the host Yin was super kind and accommodating. The amenities it lacked did not dampen my opinion of the house at all. It was also perfect for a weekend stay in Philly as it was affordable and very close to all the activities we wanted to do. I would absolutely stay again.

This was a very price-conscious, clean, safe place to stay while we visited colleges in the area. There is street parking and it's perfectly safe. The wifi is fast and free. The security is excellent. The owner is really lovely and goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for your stay!

I would highly recommend staying with Yin at Fairmount House. She was so attentive and kind - even bought me some milk for my tea and left me goodies like fresh fruit as well as all the basics like coffee and tea. It was a very quiet environment in a lovely, safe, walkable area of town. Overall, I'd highly recommend - way better than a hotel, in my opinion.

cosy and well-priced

I needed a cheap and quiet place to stay while visiting a friend and this was totally what I needed. The proprietor is very friendly and the neighborhood of the house is very good esp since Philly is kind of sketchy in some places. They even had a spare toothbrush! A very good deal for the price.

We had a wonderful stay while we were here. Our host Yin was super accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed to have a safe and comfortable stay. Most notably she made sure we understood how the door locking system worked and that we were comfortable in our rooms. Everything was very clean and tidy. Location is good - 5 min drive from the Mann Center. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back here again!

I loved everything about my stay at Fairmount House! Yin was so welcoming and hospitable! I felt very safe and secure staying there. I stayed to attend a concert and it was only a 6 min drive to the venue. So if you are attending a concert at The Mann Center, I would highly recommend staying at The Fairmount House! ☺️
