Friendly staff and all round cleanliness of the facilities was very good. The location was excellent. It was disappointing that there was the usual reserving of sun beds by customers who didn’t use them for long periods of the day.

The Briza is in a great location for families wanting a quiet get away. There are plenty of restaurants, small shops and massage places right outside but no busy roads or traffic to contend with. It is right on a beautiful beach (although not quite as nice in low season as in high season as the tides are high). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is nice - they could do with painting the steps in the pool a different colour as we lost track of the number of times we cracked our shins/knees etc on them as they are hard to see! The water pressure was good in the bathroom and plenty of hot water, wifi great for most of the 2 weeks stay. Rooms are spacious and clean, nothing fancy but pleasant. TV reception and variety was poor - only an issue on the 2 rainy days we had. The kids playroom could also do with a revamp, there is really nothing in there for the kids to play with - again, only an issue if you have rain in low season. This was our second trip to the Briza and we would stay again. Also for anyone worrying about visiting in low season weatherwise we stayed for 2 weeks in august and had lots of lovely weather, yes some rain but only 3 bad days, one day all day and 2 other days with quite a lot and only one day that we didn't get in the pool at least once. If you have young children those wet days are a challenge that could be made easier with a better kids playroom but still worth going.

This hotel was wonderful, perfect for my family of 4 with a great room and proximity to the beach. The staff so friendly and always smiling and welcoming. Good breakfast and good value for money. I would highly recommend, especially as the area around the hotel is also so very nice. The restaurants and bars etc are traditional and the locals so very nice.

We stayed at the Briza in the off-season, so crowds were at a minimum. It was lovely having an expansive, quiet beach resort with so few people. The staff were exceptionally solicitous. Over our 10 nights there we stayed in 3 different types of rooms. We far preferred the rooms that overlooked the garden and the beach. We also stayed in a pool access room. It was very enjoyable being able to swim off our own deck, however those rooms tend to be noisier. The village just outside the resort has about a dozen restaurants, a few shops and several massage salons. We enjoyed all of our various food experiences. Again, everyone, from hotel staff to restaurant waiters were so accommodating and friendly. Such great service! To have the smaller crowds you gamble with the weather. Our weather was a mixture of monsoon days and gorgeous sun. But if all you had was rain, 10 nights would have felt long. Off-season also meant no snorkeling, which we were looking forward to. However, a daily massage made it all seem like less of a loss. We would highly recommend the Briza resort and we look forward to having a chance to return again soon! Off-season prices make it so affordable!

We just got home from an 11-night stay at The Briza and absolutely LOVED our stay! Even though it was the beginning of the rainy season, and it rained almost every day/evening, we still had plenty of opportunity to enjoy the tropical weather and sunshine. I would definitely go at this time of the year again as the rates are much less expensive. We are from British Columbia, Canada, and got an incredible deal out of Vancouver! The Briza itself far surpassed our expectations!!! The staff were extremely helpful at all times, the breakfast buffet was exceptional (although by the 11th day, we were getting a little tired of the same food items). But there’s plenty of breakfast and lunch foods to choose from and it’s open until 10:30am every morning. The pool was warm and clean, there were no crowds whatsoever, the beach is picturesque, and the little Khao Lak Village just steps from The Briza is so quaint and very much a cultural experience! The food in all the restaurants in the Village are extremely good and very reasonably priced. You could get a delicious Thai meal for $6 Canadian!!! Special mention to our favourite restaurant...’My Thai’. The hostess on the street in front of the restaurant was named “O” and her smile was infectious! On our last night, she presented me with a gift to take home. Overall, the Thai people are very friendly! The only complaint is the bed at The Briza. It was way too firm for my liking, and I strongly suggest the beds be updated. I will be back!!!

Our first visit to Thailand and the hotel was perfect! Great location on the beach. The room was nice and had our own pool right off our patio. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The one girl at breakfast helped us learn Thai words everyday.

Room was clean, although there are little lizards that hang out on the walls and sometimes get in the room, no problem for us though. Staff was helpful and very nice. Breakfast was great, service a little slow at the bar area for drinks by the beach etc. Overall very nice stay.

Perfect holiday location.
We spend 200 days a year in hotels, (on business trips) we needed to escape for a quiet night away from Phuket. We booked at Briza Beach Resort and were most happy with our first night , we extended and stayed 3 nights. Arriving early hoping for an early check in, we were greeted by very genuine happy staff who simply went out of their way to please. You can train staff to be polite but you cant force them to be happy, as are all of the staff here. The simple extras like, helpful security assisting with the car parking and then place a shade over our windscreen. The amazing Ms Duen at breakfast including table service to pour your coffee. One wonders why this hotel is so well run, maybe they are not governed by standard training/rules as are the big hotel chains. Access to outside food and services is all within walking distance in a peaceful quiet village. The only negative is most of the shop staff in the village harassing every tourist, if only they would realise that turns most people away. Thanks to all the Briza staff and managers for a wonderful stay, we will return.

Perfect antidote to busy Bangkok and Phuket
Nice quiet family friendly resort was a good counterpart to busy Bangkok. Hotel facilities are good. Range of options in streets nearby to eat. Good pools and nice beach.

Good stay overall, but could be improved.
Good location, lovely beach. Our room was very tired, needed updating. Our air conditioning was very poor in our room, WiFi, did disappear in and out frequently. Breakfast selection good.Good local bars, restaurants, money exchange. Stayed for 11 nights. Not a lot of entertainment at hotel, mainly suited for couples.

Nice hotel on the beach
Hotel was right on the beach with many swimming pools. The breakfast was amazing. However, the bed was extremely hard and not comfortable. The hotel was at the end of the street so very quite but also a close walk to many restaurants. It was a short tuk tuk drive to the main strip which had all the markets and vendors and restaurants. This hotel felt like a resort, had everything you needed And was nice to be on a quite beach that wasn't to busy. I would stay here again!

nice hotel on beautiful beach
The hotel is in a great location for families. Right on a beautiful beach and with a 200m strip of restaurants, massage, minimarts etc right outside. Only downside is that a lot of things close quite early eg massage places closed at 10pm even in peak season. The hotel itself is ok. We stayed in a terrace room on the beach side of the resort (not the newer side across the road). The room was a decent size and the terrace was great. The bathroom was a good size however the water pressure was terrible. Also, mostly there was no hot water or if we were lucky it was lukewarm... had to boil the kettle for my daughters baths. The pools were nice but could do with a good clean, the big kids pool was pretty disgusting and the main pool (which also had a kids area) had lots of sand in it. It would be good to have a towel exchange somewhere as you only got clean pool towels if you left them in your room in a pile on the floor/in bath. decking areas v slipperly and HOT. Breakfast was ok, not the best we have had but a reasonable variety. Most annoying thing was that if you left your table to get something they often cleared everything away before you had finished it even if you left bag/sunnies at the table showing you hadn't left. The staff were ok but not the friendliest we have come across and often were seen on their phones. The kids play room was pretty shoddy with no decent toys and a lot smaller than it appears on the website. overall hotel was ok/nice more 3 than 4 star

Awesome resort for a relaxing stay
We absolutely loved our stay here. We had a beautiful beach front room with an awesome view. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Lovely clean and tidy resort. The beach was not too crowded and so made for a peaceful stay. It was nice to be able to walk a short distance from the resort to the local little shops and restaurants. We would definitely love to come back here. It was only a 15 minute taxi ride to the local town. The only negative was that there were a few little things that needed some maintenance work... ie we noticed that some of the balcony railings needed repairing and the couch on our balcony was missing some slats underneath the cushion and so was unsafe to sit on.

Slightly tired hotel David
We found this hotel to ok but slightly tired. We did not stay in the new block across the road so cannot comment on that facility. Our room was clean, the shower temperature was difficult to control and the barthroom sink only delivered cold water. Our biggest problem was the bed which was very hard and felt like we where sleeping on thick plywood. the staff tried their best by using multiply duvets to improve the bed, but what was really needed was a proper mattress.

Nice quiet hotel on the beach
Situated before Khao Lak on the Phuket airport side, only be a few kms before the town. Like the rest of the immediate area it’s for family’s or people who want a quiet visit to the beach. There is transport if you want to check out the town or the tourist sites. I ate in the hotel for breakfast and evening meals. It was fine. Nothing fancy and relatively inexpensive. There are a few shops in the surrounding village for supplies if you need them. My room was ok however the pillows were uncomfortable.

Quiet location right on the beach
Stayed Nov 2017 for 8 nights. Booked beachfront room with great view of ocean. Room as very spacious & terrace had table & chairs plus 2 comfy lounges. Breaky included & ample selection. Staff replenishing food was a bit slow & had to poke my head into the kitchen a couple of times to ask someone if they could fill some items. Staff very friendly & ladies cleaning room were excellent. Bed was a bit hard, but solved with putting doona on top of mattress. Had drinks at bar couple of times - beers could be colder - hubby sent back the ones that were warm, but really didn’t improve much, so we drank at bars outside of the hotel. Overall though we enjoyed our stay in Khao Lak.

Fantastic relaxing stay
Loved this hotel and its wonderfull helpful staff. My husband and I spent 8 days here in a pool access room. Breakfast was good. We had one evening meal here which was enjoyed the food reasonably priced. Local wine about 250 maybe 300 bart. Happy hour foreception wine 7 -8pm! Imported wine expensive everywhere lovely, beer and cheap. Plenty of resurants and supermarkets couple of mins walk from hotel. All inexpensive food. Lovely beach. Wished we could have stayed longer.

It was our second trip this year but was disappointed with our stay.Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the show with music.You have to pay for late check and pay for the disposal slippers.Found it hard to communicate with the staff at reception as they don't seems to speak very good English but found most staff generally friendly especially those at restaurants

Great holiday
Had a great time at BRIZA . We stayed for a week, having been here 3 times before we noticed a lot of improvements, The beach area now has a retaining wall to stop sea coming onto lawns out back.A lot of painting to buildings and it was nice to have some of staff remember us.The township has a lot of new shops with an extra 4 tailor shops and many new grocery and eating places.Great place to stay Will be back next year for our holidays.

Khao lak is a good 45mins from patong/ phuket town. The beaches are clean. Choose this hotel only if you are exploring khaolak area or planning to do Similan diving trips.

Amazing hotel, near the beach.
I loved my staying in the briza. We had a problem with the staff when we got to the hotel but when the manager came everything was fine. The room it's big and super clean. I was really impress with the wifi, it's fast!! Warm bath, great pool and room service. There's also a little city near the hotel, very nice people!! I book all the tours near there, it was so fun! It cost about 250~300bth to go to the city of Khao lak from the hotel. Food and tour are very expensive in Khao lak you compare to phi phi and Phuket but there's no better beach than similian, I loved there. Oh, don't book tours with the hotel, you can find cheaper in the city.

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful, quiet beach
We loved our 8 night stay at the Briza in a pool access room. The room was exactly as pictured on the site and even more spacious than we expected. The staff was mostly excellent and seemed happy to be there, which we did not experience in many other hotels in Thailand. The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and was well prepared and stocked. Can't wait to come back and stay at the Briza again!

Our room was spacious but with a strange layout, the wash basin was in the bedroom not the bathroom and only had a cold water supply. The bathroom had a large shower and a strange uncomfortable square shaped bath. The staff were polite and helpful and any request was quickly dealt with. The breakfast was hit and miss buffet style, any items that ran out were not quickly replenished and the quality at the egg station varied depending on which member of staff was cooking. Overall a pleasant experience and would consider using this hotel again.

Outstanding property with amazing service!
This is one of the best stay i had in my many trips in Thailand (around 50 properties visited across the country). Very nice and spacious room, great hotel compound, multiples pools, the hotel is right on the beach, i could hear the waves from my room at night. It's a little outside the main Khao Lak city, but has a series of very nice restaurants less than 100m away as well as several convenience stores opened late at night as well as travel agents, massage shops and a taxi booth with many options for tours. Excellent hotel in a great environment. And what made the stay truly amazing was the level of service: especially the great reception team, all speaking perfect English, very proactive and efficient for all requests. Truly impressed with this property and its teams!

The hotel is very tired and in need of a lot of tlc. Breakfast was ok. However the service was really good - everyone was friendly and attentive. Beach area was nice. Location was great for us with a choice of restaurants and mini marts and atms.

Loved our stay here . The location is perfect if you love beach holidays away from the crowd. If you want a fantastic peacefull holiday look no further. The staff are really friendly. We managed to upgrade whilst there for beach front room which was well worth it !

I loved the location of the hotel, it was quit and on the beach. The two pools where amazing and well kept. The rooms were nice and clean as well. I only wish we would of came in the summer months from Feb.-April maybe the beach would have been more blue, ( but that has nothing to do with the hotel). The staff was very friendly to meet all our needs. The breakfast Was OK. The western style breakfast was better than the Thai stuff they had. I would stay here again. It is about 1 hour and 15 from the airport. I would recommend renting a car, as the taxi services are much more costly in Phuket in general, and access to them around the hotel isn't great. We had a rental car so it was nice. The only thing I would say is the small play area they had for kids smelled like mold, so we didn't use it. Overall we were very happy with this hotel. I would recommend it if you want more of a quit relaxing place to stay.

We were upgraded into a delux garden room, absolutely fantastic, large airy room easy access to the pool and beach. Staff were happy to help and always smiled. Breakfast was a good selection of Thai and western food. The resort is in a small beach area with lots of restaurants and mini marts around. Great place to really relax.

Peaceful paradise
The Briza Beach is everything we had hoped for, very peaceful , perfect for relaxing in the sun,. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful , always with a ready smile, the garden area and beach are picture postcard pretty.Prices for food and drink are a little on the high side compared to the places outside the hotel but not extortionate , overall a stunning place for a very reasonable price.
