This charming village sits along the Kennet and Avon Canal where you can rent kayaks or join guided boat tours. Visit the Heritage Centre to learn about local history, then explore nearby Pewsey White Horse carved into the hillside.
Absolutely loved this place. Beds were very comfortable and facilities were great. Dinner and breakfast was fabulous. We used it as our base for an early morning walk to Stonehenge.

Helen Browning's Royal Oak was exactly as pictured on the booking site. The rooms were very quirky and comfortable. Definitely not the biggest room we have stayed in but perfectly functional. The communal area more than made up for this and gave us somewhere to chill out. Dinner and breakfast were really good as was the atmosphere in the bar. It is off the main highway a bit but well worth the effort.

Statement:
Our stay at Overtown Manor was the most pleasant stay we had while in England and Germany for a month.
Justify:
This is the only review my wife and I have ever written for an accommodation provider - which is testimony in itself.
Beautiful, immaculately maintained, spacious and "all the creature comforts you could ask for" accommodation.
Manicured gardens to stroll around.

Coming from our 5 nights in london on our UK holiday, the Crown and Garter was a wonderfully relaxing base for visiting bath, oxford and avesbury. It was like being transformed into a different world and time but with modern comforts.

We loved the old country pub and hospitality. After a quick walk around the village we settled in for a few ales a fantastic dinner ad a good night sleep. Our breakfast was included which was fantastic as it was a full English breakfast cooked to perfection. Loved our time there and would highly recommend for anyone

I was greeted warmly by Phillip and given an upgrade without asking. Really comfortable room with nice amenities. The hotel is in the centre of Devizes. Had a delicious meal in their restaurant. Couldn’t fault it!

Received a warm welcome by hosts. We were thrilled to find luxurious furnishings and kitchen stocked with many extra thoughtful provisions - chocolate cake, fruit, alcohol etc. The quality of the foodstuffs provided was superb. Jo was extremely informative about places to visit, the history of the area and anticipated our day to day needs. Nothing was too much trouble.
We could not fault this quality bed and breakfast and have recommended it to many of our friends both in the UK and at home...

The Riverside is close to the centre of Salisbury but still easy to get to, no narrow streets and plenty of easy parking. The river view room was modern, clean, comfortable and very pleasant. The access to the garden and the river bank was a real plus. The breakfast buffet was good, fill up here and you will barely need lunch! The only minor problem is that the gravel on the car park isn't friendly to wheeled suitcases.

A very cute hotel, it has heaps of historical character. The restaurant was great, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The stairs leading up to the rooms are very old and a bit wonky- so if you have a big suitcase you might have difficulty- but I think they add to the character of the hotel.

Lot of history with the building. it is a working farm. While not modern rooms they retain the character of the building and have everything you need. Ensuites are modern and fully renovated. Bed extremely comfortable. Owner very friendly and helpful. Lovely little village with a lovely pub within walking distance that had great meals. The place really grows on you and you get some understanding of the history of the place. Highly recommend!
