Excellent downtown location!! Very clean and well appointed rooms. Has a Victorian bed and breakfast feel, warm and cozy. Restaurant was great, recommend the spinach artichoke dip!! Highly recommend!!!

Road Trip around Michigan, stayed in 3-4 different hotels and by far this was the best hotel experience. Boutique style hotel, well taken care, close to everything, beautiful facilities. But the best was the staff. I forgot a recently purchased pair of paints, called the hotel and they promptly fedex it to me in a matter of days. My dad bought 2 lovely t-shirts on their gift shop. He loved it so much, but took the wrong size home. He was so disappointed, I called the hotel and asked if they could help me surprising my dad. Ric (I am note sure If I am spelling his name right), was so helpful and went above and beyond, helped me find the exactly t-shirts for my dad, and will fedex to me. My dad will be so happy. I plan to surprise him for Chrstimas. I wish other hotel staff were like this one. So personal and caring. One of the best experiences I had. If you every go to Petoskey, you will have no regrets staying there. Remember to have breakfast at the restaurant.

It is an historic hotel so expect to hear your neighbors. The room has no individual temperature controls so the first night we spent sweating. We mentioned this to the front desk and they did turn the heat down. We were in room 134 and there is no wifi available. We pointed this out to the front desk several times and each time they politely said they would have someone look into it but we never did get any wifi during our stay. The breakfast is wonderful with terrific service. Great location in the downtown with the ability to walk to stores and restaurants from the hotel.

The rooms shown on the website are definitely NOT like the one I stayed in. I arrived on a Sunday evening at 8:00pm. I was given a room on the lower level, overlooking the parking lot, with steps and no elevator. Maybe the receptionist gentleman could have shown me the way, but just said twice, 'it's around the corner, four doors down'. He omitted the stairs. In this hotel with 79 rooms, on a Sunday night, was there not any other room that could have worked? The room was not able to connect to wifi. I asked the receptionist twice and he said...'it's always worked, I'll let the tech person know'. The morning receptionist gentleman was very unfriendly as was the maî tre d in the breakfast area. This was totally an unpleasant experience and I would never return.

Hello Nancy, I am sorry to hear that you did not appreciate your experience. We are very transparent on the different levels of accommodations that we furnish at our property. We apologize if that transparency did not find its way to your reservation process however I can assure you that the room you reserved was the one that you received for your stay. As for the level of service you received, we take accounts like yours very seriously and will take any corrective action for all guests to feel welcomed. We are well known for the level of hospitality that we provide to all our guests which are highlighted by countless reviews mentioning specific interactions with our team through out our property. As your experience is not what we typically encounter we will certainly make sure to coach any staff to make improvements in future guest interactions. It is a disappointment to hear you would not return. We sincerely hope you reconsider and we would be grateful for the opportunity to serve you again.

Beautiful property. Room was very comfortable .Easy walk to downtown area. Hotel had a nice pub downstairs. Breakfast was wonderful. Hotel staff were courteous and helpful.

The service was excellent and the hotel was beautiful. We didn’t have great weather during our stay but the hotel made up for some of the sights we missed. We had a situation where we booked for two but the hotel had the reservation for one person and so we were not given an additional voucher for breakfast, but this was corrected at checkout in a very professional manner. We will be back!!

Love the history and location of the Perry Hotel next to Lake Michigan. Although the building is old, much has been done to make it welcoming and comfortable. The floors do squeak, however, and it was annoying to hear the people above us walking around as when we were trying to sleep in. We liked that the hotel is a short walk to the streets of shopping and restaurants.

We had a nice stay. Place is very $$$ as we had to come and stay for 6 nights for a family thing (oy). Our room did not have consistent interest enough to be usable and the people at the front desk changed our room! Extremely accommodating and consistently kind staff dining staff as well. We do not know why we were charged $14 for a breakfast when we used a voucher every day, never ordered more than sides and were told every morning “you have a zero balance”.

What a treat to walk back in time to an elegant old Hotel. The place oozes character and history. Lovely dining room with exceptional breakfast. Nice views over Lake Michigan, convenient to stores/restaraunts.

The perfect pla e!
This was a beautiful place to stay for our Anniversary getaway. We were greeted by smiling faces. Our room had the perfect view of the water, pier and sunsets. We even had a gift from the Hotel waiting for us. That was very sweet. We ate at the Noggin Room. The food was delicious! One of the best lasagna's i ever had. The bed is amazingly comfortable. Room was very clean and roomy. They did have a wedding reception just below our balcony. With the doorwall open, we did enjoy the music. When we shut the door, we really couldn't hear anything. We usually use a sound machine too when we sleep, and you wouldn't believe it! There was one in the room! We definitely loved our stay. Next time we might try another Stafford hotel.
