Travelers beware.
The hotel is under major renovations and it’s badly needed. I made the reservation but wasn’t alerted to this until after submitting payment which I believe is fraudulent practice to customers. There was plaster and paint peeling off the ceiling above the check in desk upon our arrival which was reason enough for me to find a different hotel. I explained to the people working the front desk my concerns and wasn’t offered even an apology. They would not refund my money so I contacted my bank who issued my debit card and they are handling the situation.

Maybe it'll be better once renovations are done??
Ugh. Under construction EVERYWHERE and they put us in the middle of it. Old appliances, ac units laying everywhere. Hot tub wouldn't heat past 85 which the hotel itself emailed about after we booked the non refundable room. Nothing has been vacuumed in forever in the halls. The rooms have wood floors with no rugs so bring your slippers because it gets cold. We were glad to only be staying one night. Staff were very friendly though. That was the only bright spot in this hotel. They really should do it a section at a time or something. Then maybe they could clean a little. Oh yeah and doors to outside are just propped open all night an shave no locks.

This was recently under new ownership. Very dirty, open hotel room doors with rooms looking ransacked. None of the amenities were available due to construction. The doors to the rooms were very hard to open. I would stay here again but I’m not sure many others would. Do not expect much while staying here. A simple place to lay your head for the night is fine but don’t expect to hang out there, nothing like the pictures online.

Staff was great. Property should not allow reservations until renovations are complete. The room I stayed in was one that still needed major renovations. It was much cheaper than most surrounding hotels, so I can understand that it wouldn’t be perfect. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

We booked this hotel expecting it to be clean. How foolish of us. Slow check in process with boxes of supplies everywhere in the lobby and broken floor tiles. No continental breakfast. We had two rooms booked- The first smelled of stale smoke and urine. The second smelled like something had died and they had tried to use cleaning product to cover it up. We put the air on in both rooms to no avail. Spoke to the manager and said she could do nothing about it but then she offered to put us on the 2nd floor however the rooms had no water. The floor was not vacuumed, and you didn’t want to step anywhere without your shoes on. There were sinks in the hallways and a pile of mattresses near the pool area. None of which was swept or vacuumed. We made the decision to ask for a refund and go to the Comfort Inn down the road. While moving our luggage back into the car we spoke to some people in the parking lot who said they were living there after losing their home in the tornado. Spoke to the attendant and they told us the police are constantly there. Avoid this place at all cost. Dirty, gross, unclean, unsafe and all around disgusting.
