"Great location and amazing views! Our hotel room had a beautiful balcony with a view of Mt. Etna! The pool area was very nice and drinks and food can be ordered while relaxing or you can go to the bar! Stepping off the elevator and having the doors open to the gorgeous ocean view as you walk through the cave is always amazing! Truly an experience! All staff is friendly and helpful! The shuttles that take you back and forth to the town of Taormina are a great feature and many options of times! Just make sure to reserve early AM your spots! "

"My stay at the Splendid Hotel in Taormina was absolutely wonderful. The location couldn’t be better - just a short walk to the town center and the cable car that takes you down to the sea. It’s the perfect base to explore everything Taormina has to offer. What truly stood out, though, was how warm and welcoming the atmosphere was from the moment I arrived. The hotel has a charming, relaxing vibe, and the staff made me feel completely at home. A special mention goes to Mohammed at the front desk, who was incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help. Whether I needed directions, recommendations, or just a friendly conversation, Mohammed was consistently attentive and thoughtful. His hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a hotel with a great location and genuinely caring staff, the Splendid Hotel is a fantastic choice. I am already looking forward to my next visit!"

"I loved this property and will stay again! There was 4 of us and we stayed for 6 nights. The staff were amazing- kind attentive genuinely helpful. The room was quite clean beautiful and bright with a view overlooking the sea. The breakfast was basic but good and the dinner was delicious. We went out most days nights because we wanted to see the surrounding area. Location is great - you can easily walk to the cable car however if you’re from the states this may feel scare as they don’t have a side walk and cars go very fast. At one point the bus came past us and it felt like the scary instagram reels. You do get used to it and locals walk these narrow roads often. If you don’t feel like walking the staff will call you a cab and it was only $20 each way for 4 people which is actually less expensive then the cable cars. There is also a bus stop 20 feet from the entrance. Other great experiences were the beach and service at the beach. The beach is private and there is an attendant to help you with seating towels drinks and etc. right next door there is a place to borrow kayaks and paddle boards. The view was amazing and overall it was an incredible stay!!"

"This was the one of the best hotel stay’s that I have ever had. The concierge and front desk personnel were extremely kind and helpful. Also the location of the hotel was amazing, we were a 3 min walk from the cable car that goes into the city center. The hotel is right on the beach which is so convenient. I could go on and on about how wonderful our stay was!! "

"The hotel is wonderful. Rooms (especially the ocean facing ones are beautiful with big balconies…note however you do lose sun in late afternoon) Breakfast very good, staff very attentive. A lovely pool area as well and proximity to beach is amazing just 20 steps. Parking is available and is good.(important for Sicily) The hotel could do with a paint job on outside but don’t let that put you off inside is great. The hotel would benefit from offering some kind of shuttle service to Taormina or even Lettojanni. As location is very isolated. 25-30 euros taxi ride to Taormina. Even lettojanni is a 30 min walk and bus connections to Taormina are sporadic and unreliable. Some kind of golf buggy service even at a charge for guests would be ideal. All in all superb place and would definitely stay again."

"Don't let the low price scare you away! This place is AMAZING! I booked the cheapest room and didn't expect much. It was large, clean and had a BALCONY with views of the ocean! Breakfast was included in the base price and it was a full breakfast with every breakfast food you can imagine! Bacon, eggs, potatoes, fresh squeezed OJ, pastries, breads, yogurt, coldcuts, etc. etc. etc! We added the dinner option and it was unbelievable also! Nightly, they had pasta station with like 5 kinds of pasta, salad bar, Antipasti bar, meat station (with 4 different meat choices), dessert station with at least 8 pastries nightly AND gelato. Soft drinks were also included. The facilities include 3 pools, hot tubs, restaurants, an elevator that takes you to street level so you can walk the 5 minutes to the beach, free beach chairs and an umbrella at the beach. Seriously, stay here! You won't be sorry! It is a BARGIN!"
