SEA RIVER RETREAT has three+ separate accommodations: The Roost & The Nest (Main House - 16, The Majabigwaduce Meeting House (Recreation / Meeting House - 4) and Tidewater Cabin (2).

NOTE: Special events exceeding standard registered overnight guests limits of 22 with additional day visitors require added pricing and permission, and must be approved by the owners in advance and in writing, with number of guests pre-approved and stipulated, and never to exceed 50 (firm) in total on property at any given time. (see further below)

ROOST & NEST: The main residence is a 4,600-sf versatile layout as either a spacious single home or 2 semi-private accommodations, The Roost and The Nest. The Roost is the original log cabin home with beamed and vaulted ceilings, where ample skylights cast sun rays across its warm pine walls. Central is the family room with a cobblestone fireplace, kitchenette, dining area, entry office, as well as 2-3 delightful bedrooms and two baths. Sliding glass doors open to a water-facing deck. Back inside, a few steps down through a privacy door opens to a magnificent newer and very spacious addition to the home, The Nest. Large windows cover the near entirety of the water-facing sides of the home, capturing one of the area’s most scenic views on the Bagaduce - from near every room. The gourmet kitchen, breakfast nook, living room, and formal dining room are stunning. They include a stone-surround fireplace, fully-equipped wet bar, coffee bar, galley workstation, office, prep room, including walk-out access to the patio. The primary bedroom suite features a sitting area with full size futon, private balcony, and large bath with dual sinks. A large, finished basement offer ample sleeping with a king, 3 twins beds, twin sized couch / sitting area, full size futon and small dressing room.

MAJABIGWADUCE MEETING HOUSE: This unique 2,500-sf custom art studio is flooded with natural light from large clerestory windows providing for an open and airy space to gather. With a full kitchen, sitting area, two bedrooms and 3/4 bath, covered porches, along with an expansive open space, it serves a variety of uses. Whether for overflow accommodations, recreation (pickle ball, ping pong, corn hole, bad mitten, croquet & more ), special “micro” events, small weddings, meetings or simply a gathering hub, the options are endless.

TIDEWATER CABIN: This charming cabin sits at the water’s edge and provides close up views of the sights and sounds of the river wildlife, flowing waters and reversing falls. Along with the shimmering seawater reflecting through the windows, the “bottle wall” that casts a rainbow of light across the vaulted ceilings, or the glimmer from the flames of the cast iron gas stove, the cabin is magical. From combined living room and kitchen, to bedroom, laundry, ¾ bath, and wrap around deck, it has everything you need.

THE GROUNDS: For the outdoor enthusiast, this 10.5 acre parcel features a dock, complete with a 10′ x 36′ float, and offers seamless access for boating, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and fishing. Beyond the rolling lawns and gardens, the property features two woodsheds, garden shed, a campfire area with seating, and a suspended two-story treehouse. Situated on a private and winding no-outlet road, it is perfect for leisurely walks, biking, bird watching, and life away from the hustle and bustle. The views are beyond exceptional.

Family Reunion

This property provided great access to nearby activities including kayaking, fishing, hiking, swimming, and relaxing together during our family reunion...all in one place! We only stayed 2 days and 3 nights (one day at the property and one day at Acadia National Park, approximately one hour away), but the great floor plan in all three buildings and private waterfront access gave so many opportunities for family connections. I only wish we had planned to stay longer. Wonderful, peaceful, comfortable stay...we will be back!

This property was really awesome! We had 20 people staying with us but hosted an event with 42 total and it was absolutely perfect for this. It looks just like the photos (maybe even a bit better in real life) and has plenty of space to gather as a group and lots of nooks and crannies for private quiet time too. There were about 8 or so kayaks to use, with one being a two-person and all the others, single. It is very well stocked with all kinds of pots/pans, bowls, many spices, and lots of coffee with numerous coffee makers. Additionally, there were numerous refrigerators/freezers, several full-size and many mini fridges. The cabin is lovely and has a single bedroom. The Meeting House is stunning and has a full kitchen, full bathroom, and two bedrooms. Lots of folding chairs, tables, blowup mattresses, and big thick blankets around. The linens are high quality, beds are super comfy. Lots of screen windows/AC.The main house is really spacious, with 5 bedrooms. The master is huge and looks just like the photos. There’s also an outdoor fire pit right by the water with a circle of chairs around it and a whole shed full of firewood. Additionally, there’s a large gas grill with a full propane tank, a Green Egg smoker/grill, and a smaller grill. The large grill was tricky to get lit but did work well. There were some Maine bugs: wasps, black flies, etc. so bring spray.Barbara was very responsive, helpful, flexible, and nice. It truly was an absolute dream!
