Beautiful home and location- had everything we needed and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.
The road to the house was a bit precarious (glad I had a truck) :-)
Lovely place
We had a great time during our stay. It was very quiet and relaxing. The house is modern and clean. It had everything we needed. Woke up to wild life in the yard. Enjoyed our time at the river.
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely private place by the river. Great design, very comfortable, super clean. Last part of the road in was gravel / a little bumpy; just be aware,
Well maintained and beautifully perfect property and cabin. Private and quiet. My heart was sad when my stay was over. I will definitely be a return guest. Honest hosts.
The driveway in is a little intimidating at first but it leads to a great private setting and a very comfortable cabin. The sounds of the creek are with you all the time creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The wildlife was fun to watch and the property is very easy to walk around in. Overall, it's a very pleasant place to get away and unplug for a while.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The house has everything we needed and the views were amazing. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and hanging out by the fire. Check in was super easy and we hope to come back again in the future.
The house is beautiful and well equipped. Very private location. It was a beautiful, peaceful location. Our time was too short. The owner was available and very kind.

Lovely Honeymoon Getaway
This little what I would call “cabin” was the perfect destination for our honeymoon getaway. We wanted to getaway to the middle of nowhere and you definitely are by yourself in the mountains but yet very close to the little town of Pennington Gap & Big stone Gap, etc. For us all the surrounding areas were great but the home was the most memorable for us. The house is the perfect size, very cozy and has everything you need for your stay. We cooked out on the grill provided a few nights and cooked breakfast and had coffee in the fully stocked kitchen with plenty of coffee for coffee lovers like us! We loved to sit on the porch with the fire pit and watch the incredible fire flys do there thing. It was like nothing we’ve ever seen and were from the country. The bath tub with a huge window to watch all the firefly’s from inside was so relaxing too. We adventured near by town Big stone Gap which was a gem you wouldn’t think is there. So many little shops they have a pottery shop, lots of boutiques, coffee shops, food, and incredible coal fired pizza at Good times pizza MUST HAVE. We also went to Creation Kingdom Zoo, Natural Tunnel state park, Roosters pub, Charlys and adventured the Pennington Gap shops. Something else we really noticed is everyone is so friendly like they know you and are from there. It was very special to us also because this is a family friend who owns this place and he’s a great guy. It was an amazing stay and we definitely hope to come back annually to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
