Great house/great locationThis was our second stay in this house over the years. We came to the area to ride the bike trails so it is the perfect fit. Literally right on the Erie Canal towpath. Check in process is seamless and communication with the owner is great. The house was spotlessly clean and has every thing you could need.Highly recommend

Great location

So nice to walk to the train, have the tow path right out front for biking, and have a few restaurants in walking distance. The home is just as described. We enjoyed several trails at Cuyahoga NP and one rainy afternoon at the Rock & Roll Hall of fame, a 40 minute drive north which ended up being a highlight of our getaway.

Excellent location!

We found the house to be clean and roomy and very comfortable! When we weren't out and about, we spent time on the secluded front porch, playing cards in the kitchen, and morning coffee in the living room! Within walking distance from this house is a train depot, bike rental, 2 restaurants, and the tow path with canal locks. The host generously had a basket of fruit and wine awaiting our arrival and many suggestions for fun activities!!!

Great location for visiting CVNP

Our family of 4 enjoyed spending a few days exploring CVNP. The house was conveniently located right off the Towpath and within walking distance of the 2 restaurants in town. We enjoyed biking the Towpath, kayaking and hiking during our days. And spent the evenings in the cozy living room catching up on family movie nights. Paul was very helpful providing info on the trails and local area in advance so we could plan our trip. There was even a basket of fresh fruit when we arrived!

Just what we needed!

Felt right at home. Layout & location of home perfect for respite after Cleveland Clinic appts and to meander around CVNP. Early morning walks along Cuyahoga River & Towpath Trail were easily accessible from the house. Quiet & peaceful even though Main St also was close by. Thank you, Paul, for keeping the historic bones of the house while modernizing with unobtrusive upgrades.

Lovely place to explore CVNP

Paul was wonderful about timely correspondence and he even took time to give suggestions about restaurants and places to visit in the area. His personal touches to the house were so appreciated. I did two of the puzzles in the cupboard while there (nice supply of games too) and we used the fire pit one evening. Beds were comfy. Convenient having a washer/dryer there as we got rained on during a bike ride and were able to wash and dry our mud spattered clothes! Loved how close we were to the tow path and walking distance to a couple restaurants and antique store. So would have liked to sit on the inviting front porch, but weather didn't cooperate. Overall, this is a lovely quaint house in the heart of CVNP!

Great location!

We came to the area to explore the national park on our bikes. This house is very conveniently located adjacent to the trail. We biked onto the trail everyday right from the house. We could ride for miles north and south of Peninsula. The town itself is quaint and has some shops, restaurants and the train depot. We made our meals in the kitchen or on the grill and the house was very comfortable.

We had a great time. You could leave the property and walk to the Towpath trail. We also appreciated the Cuyahoga Valley guidebooks that were available in the house. The upstairs is an open room with an A/C window unit and fan to stay cool. There is no bathroom on the second floor; however, there are two on the first floor, and they are nicely updated. The kitchen is well stocked and there is enough space for 6 people to eat at the island.

Survived the “heat dome”

Great property and awesome host, Paul. Tried to go to northern Ohio to escape southern heat, but heat followed us! The house was super comfortable in spite of heat. Access to towpath is so easy, riding in morning was tolerable due to lots of shade. House is very convenient, easy walk to restaurants and coffee shop right across the street. Has become our go to place to visit family and friends in the area.

Lovely home, perfect location!

We had a wonderful stay in this house! The furnishings were comfortable and the amenities met any needs we could have had. The newly renovated kitchen was great for cooking as well as gathering for board games. The house was fully stocked with supplies (flashlights, band-aids, bug spray etc.), linens, towels, games, kitchen items etc. The location of this property is absolutely perfect for exploring and enjoying Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The front porch offers a view of the river and the towpath is just steps away from the house. The Boston Mill visitor center is a 15-20 minute bike ride north of the house and the beaver/wetland area is a 20-30 minute bike ride south of the house. The village of Peninsula offers several restaurants, a farm market, and one of the stations for the scenic railroad, and all are a few minutes' walk from the house. The host responded quickly and completely to all of our questions and made the house very inviting for our stay. We certainly plan to stay at this property again!
