Simple homestays at a perfect location

The homestays are very simple so don't go here if you're looking for luxury. The best part of these homestays is that you're literally right on the beach, which is great for relaxing but not so much for swimming because of the reefs at low tides and the quite strong waves/current at high tide. The homestays themselves are very simple but they were being improved even as we stayed here. The owner was really nice, but it was a bit difficult to find her to check in when we arrived as there is no real reception desk or anything. It only took ablut a minute or two for the owner to notice us so it's not really a big deal, only a bit confusing. You can also find a lot of nice restaurants and a plethora of diving schools by walking about 10-15 minutes up the road towards the harbour.

Da vi kom til stedet, var der ikke rigtig nogen til at tage imod os, og dem der var kunne ikke tale engelsk. Da vi så skulle have været værelse, gik der rigtig lang tid før der kom nogen, og der var åbenbart blevet overbooket. De havde taget en gæst en fra gade, selvom vi havde booket gennem bookingservice to dage inden. Deres løsning var at smide den anden gæst ud, mens han ikke var der. De tog hans ting og flyttede ud på vejen, og sagde vi kunne bare flytte ind nu. Det ville vi bestemt ikke, især ikke før den anden gæst var kommet. Der var ingen der kunne engelsk, og vi ville egentlig bare have vores penge tilbage. Det lykkes langt om længe, efter meget besvær, og vi fandt et andet sted at bo.

Literally 3m to the water!

Great little huts, as close to the beach as you can possibly get! If just rolling out of bed and into the warm calm ocean is what you dream of - this is where to go. A fun little detail we liked was that each room has their own large bean-bag to lounge on on the beach, which has super fine white sand by the way. Amenities are just the basic things you need, bed, mosquito net, table, aircon. The bathroom is uninspiring and looks like a bit of an afterthought added onto the back of the hut - but it is perfectly functional. There are a few other guesthouses, dive-resorts and restaurants in the close vicinity, but taking a ~20min stroll along the beach can easily take you to the slightly busier (by Nusa Penida standards) Toya Pakeh area where ferries to the other Nusa islands arrive and depart from. We thought this place was rather good value for money, only thing we could wish for was a bit better communication with the owners. As this hotel only consists of 5 huts, it is understandable that reception is not manned at all times, but we did not know how to get a hold of them if we needed them and the level of English was a bit limited - however they make their best efforts to give you a pleasant stay and help you with any request you have. They are happy to rent you scooters or find you a driver to take you round the island.

Hyddorna ligger fint vid vattnet men standarden är långt ifrån 3-stjärnig. Stranden är inte badvänligt och full med tång. Inget ingår, som t ex städning eller vatten som det står på Hotels.com och du bor granne med personalen och tuppar. Personalen är trevlig och hjälpsam och ac fungerar fint.

On n'y retournera pas.

Deux nuits à l'hôtel,lit confortable, sal de bain mauvaise évacuation d'eau même pièces pour la douche et wc. Si après la douche une autre personne doit se rendre au wc il a les pieds dans l'eau. Lavabo tellement entartré qu'il coule plus dans le lavabo mais gicle à plat. Pas venue faire la chambre le matin.

Dejlig oplevelse a la Bali 1975

Alt var som beskrevet på billederne og det lå helt ned til vandet. Stranden var flot, men det er ikke muligt at svømme, da der er meget lavvandet og fyldt med sten nogle få meter ude.
