"An exceptional place—we decided to stay an additional day at Moinho do Maneio, canceling a night in the Douro Valley, because we loved the place and its surroundings so much. Anabela and her husband have created such a special retreat, truly a welcome respite after traveling through the busy cities of Madrid and Seville. "Absolutely wonderful hotel. Was traveling through so the location was perfect. Ana did an excellent job of making sure she knew when I was arriving made a fantastic breakfast and just was so kind. It's a fantastic location and incredible rooms and a fantastic pool. I can't say enough good things about it."

"It is a 1000 year old building, the host treated us wonderfully and we had a great chat in the bar. Much different than all the corporate owned hotels we stayed earlier in the week. There is a thermo springs a few blocks away."

"This is a fabulous little hotel. It has obviously been recently refurbished and modernised. It is spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful. Continental breakfast was great value for only €5 and there is a handy cafe/bar right next door."
