Disappointed with the stay
Overall it was satisfactory. But for a 5 star hotel, they are really below mark. I think the service providers did their best within their means but there could be lack of proper supervision, management and leadership in this hotel. Rooms were clean, bathroom was clean, but the restaurant service was poor and also during breakfast time. Eg the waiter used his hand during toasting the bread. Also I gave the ice pack (used to store some special medicine while travelling) to be kept in the freezer as there was no freezer in the room. The refrigerator was inadequate to keep the ice pack cold. On the 4th day when I got it back, the ice pack had already melted as they did not put it in the freezer. The instruction that I gave to the Duty Manager (Farish) was not complied with. It was quite shocking. I would not recommend this hotel as a 5 star hotel mainly due to poor service and the attitude of the staff at the front desk who did not show the due care when I complained about the ice pack. I got the answer “the management having meeting”. I expected as least someone from the management should quickly come up to hear my complain when it is fresh. Feedback like this was very useful to the hotel but they lost the opportunity.

Want to pamper yourself ?
Definitely the luxury hotel to go to in Penang....for a retreat ! The beautiful Bkt Jambul Golf course is just " next door " and Kampachi at lower ground serves Japanese cuisine choices including the wonderful wagyu beef !

Food is good. However, hotel needs some upgrading works. 1) room smells musty. Probably because carpet is old 2) have some difficulty accessing room floor because hotel card doesn't work in one of the lift 3) room door knob needs repair

Very happy with our stay. The kids loved it too. A great place to stay. Excellent condition, very very helpful staff. Their local knowledge is fantastic. Service is A++. Food is great too. All in all 6 out of 5 star. :)

Big property. Built while ago but well maintained. Clean and satisfying stay. Water quality is good. Breakfast buffet was good. Property is located 10 min from the airport toward elevated near mountain area providing awesome view of town and sea. Parking area is big, well ventilated and safe.

The open space, fresh air, the garden and the pool were great. Its a very nice hotel with great service. We loved staying there. The only low light is distance, the hotel was a 25 min drive from george town. But we always gound grab easily.

Overall, a very nice property. A bit far from Georgetown but close to the airport. Nice and quiet and costs only about 20 Ringit using grab to hit downtown. Nice pool. Squash court paint peels but this is a minor complaint.

A beautiful property where the indoor and outdoor merge. Beautiful greenery and decor. Lovely rooms with views over Penang. A choice of restaurants and a lovely pool area. Really enjoyed our stayed and extended it twice! Service in one of the restaurants was slow. We are vegetarian and breakfast buffet was not accurately labelled. Not leaving enough towels in the bathroom. Not near any amenities so needed to get a taxi everywhere but taxis are so cheap! Other than this would highly recommend staying here and would stay again. Great value for money!

The property in general was very good, good facilities and a very tidy hotel. We didn't appreciate having to clean the inside of our wardrobes of dust before we could unpack our cases and we most certainly didn't appreciate the constant problems with the lift card readers. We had to change our access cards 5 times in 8 days because the lifts would never recognise them and let us go up to our floor. All we kept getting was excuses....and new cards. The cards worked fine in the room door but you often needed to insert them 30 times in the lift to get it to read. Not good enough for a hotel of this calibre.

Best hotel in Malaysia
This place was great. I never imagined a hotel this nice would be here. The people were friendly. The price for room was also great. I would have expected to pay three or four times what we did. I just can’t say enough good things about this hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we come back.

AC will stop at like 22C. Carpet is dirty and has bad smell inside the room. Insert is everywhere in the hotel. Food is not good.
