This central area of Peñalsordo is where you'll find the most convenient access to local amenities and the village's main points of interest. The Plaza de España is a focal point, often bustling with local life, and nearby streets branch out to reveal traditional Extremaduran architecture. The Church of Santa Catalina is a prominent landmark here, and you'll find small shops and eateries within easy walking distance.

For families, staying in the village centre provides a practical base. Children can enjoy the open space of the plaza, and the accessibility of local shops means you're never far from essentials. The village's contained size makes it easy to navigate on foot, allowing for relaxed strolls to explore its nooks and crannies.

Couples looking for a peaceful getaway will also appreciate the village centre. It offers a chance to experience authentic Spanish rural life, with evenings spent enjoying a quiet meal or a drink at a local establishment.
