Family-friendly log home between Harbor Springs, Petoskey, and Mackinaw Island

The White Pine Lodge has a privileged location: it's quiet and peaceful but close to the best Northern Michigan attractions, small towns, and beaches only 15 minutes away. The large front deck is tucked into secluded woods and the back deck overlooks beautiful meadows and hills. Nature sings here, and it isn't called Pleasantview Rd for nothing! The only neighbors for miles are friends or family, and the fields are still farmed by us. A school house more than 100 years old sat on this property until recently donated to a historical society. Our relatives and neighbors attended that school, so the property has a rich past.

Geo-thermal heating and cooling makes this a very comfortable unit year round, and the heated floors are exceptionally comfortable in the winter. The large pine dining table and spacious kitchen help make family meals and time together unforgettable. Cooking or grilling is made easy with all the room. Jurek's Meat and Grocery, a short walk away, has the best meats in Northern Michigan for all your cooking needs.

The main floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The living room has comfortable and spacious seating and a warm gas fireplace. On each side of the living room are sliding glass doors for easy access to the balcony for the great view, fresh air, and starry nights. One floor up is the loft with a bed, a recliner and wool rug.

The lower level has lots of seating with many large sofas. There are 2 bedrooms down here, a full bathroom, an exercise room, entertainment area with a 50" flat screen, and a laundry room.

Another great time in Pellston

A beautiful log home with plenty of room for all of us. Close to Nubs and Boyne Highlands and Pellston airport. We enjoyed our second stay in this home!

Comfortable Michigan stay

Beautiful cabin

We stayed at this property with four other couples. It was clean and beautiful. The property had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. James was very easy to work with and made sure that our stay was perfect. The property had plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable while we stayed. Would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful cabin and great for a family Reunion

We had our annual reunion here with three families, ages ranging from 65 - 2 years old and a dog. Place was great for everyone and enough kitchen and bathroom amenities. We spent a night outside around the fire making s'mores and laid in the grass star gazing. During the day we spent time at nearby Pelosky, Harbor Springs, and Mackinac Island.

Awesome house

This place was perfect for our family ski trip to Boyne Highlands. It was even more beautiful and impressive than the pictures. Very spacious and clean. Only 10 minutes from the slopes. Owner was very responsive to our texts. I highly recommend this place!

Amazing Rental

We stayed here while skiing at Nubs Nob. The house is so beautiful, so spacious, and so comfortable. We had so many of us, but you could never tell because there’s so much room. James was so accommodating and very easy to get a hold of. When we return to the area will definitely book again. Highly recommend.

Great place for a large group. Home looks just like the pictures. Very clean and well stocked. We had a group of 10 people and we have plenty of room for everyone. Owner so easy to get a hold of and answers any questions promptly. Highly recommend

The property is amazing; set on a hillside with a western facing deck, one can view magnificent sunsets that show the beauty of our skies. We had 6 women who graduated high school in 1970, and have been annually getting together to renew our friendships.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. We loved the quiet location while being in a good central location to Petoskey, Mackinaw City, and Boyne Highlands. We enjoyed the large yard and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The hills with the deer roaming in the fields was so relaxing to take in. The lodge was very spacious and had all the amenities we could ask for-- lots of dishes, cooking supplies, large bathrooms, comfortable beds, grill, whirlpool tub, workout room, etc. We can't say enough good things about the property manager, James, he was professional and checked in on us to make sure we had what we needed and was always quick to respond to our questions. We hope to stay here again and highly recommend this property.

beautiful house, quiet and secluded property

The house itself was gorgeous. Very spacious. Felt like having your own private ski lodge. Only about a 20 minute drive to Petosksy, Mackinac City, and Harbor Springs. There is a small grocery store and butcher shop half a mile down the road. The sunset over the farm across the street was beautiful. The grounds were not well kept. A very loud, whole house, security/smoke alarm went off spontaneously for about 20 minutes in the middle of the afternoon, and they had no idea what to do about it. It stopped on its own, and the answer was to just hope it doesnt happen again. That was a little disconcerting. However, the property manager was very attentive, and friendly. No hard feelings. The air conditioning worked really well. Super hot days and the inside was cold. The beds and pillows were not very comfortable. Check in was at 5:00 pm, which is pretty late, and they were actually cleaning until then so there was no way to get in the house early.

What a great home for a relaxing vacation!!

The place was super clean and very spacious. My party of 7 fit into all 5 rooms nicely. There’s a single room with two small beds for kids even. This place had a beautiful view and not to mention all the necessities that a hotel doesn’t have. A fridge Stove Grill Fire pit and fire pit kit The caretakers left brochures as well I was also pleasantly surprised with a cake on the table when we entered. It said Happy Birthday James! The personal touches like that always make it a memorable vacation. There’s almost nothing that I found wrong with the place. The air was just right for the hot days that we were there and the cable and internet worked just fine too. We were only there from Friday morning until Monday afternoon but we will definitely return in a year or two! One of the best places I’ve ever staid at! The caretakers james and Laura (brother and sister) are very friendly and made it clear that if we needed anything, to just ask. I got many recommendations on things to do and they were very helpful. All around a great experience. You won’t be sorry for choosing this place as your getaway home I know that much! =] There’s also a restaurant near by called the “Moose Jaw junction” ... talk about great food! The manager there was awesome. Just all around a fun getaway and lots of wildlife and deer. Thanks for he great memories!!

Great Central Location

this property worked great for our group and the itinerary we had. 25 minutes to Island Ferry, 20 minutes to harbor springs, and only 10 minutes from Pellston Regional for some of our distant travelers. We had a great stay. Thank you.

Great house for large groups

We were a multi-generational group with two different families and 12 folks in total (6 adults, 6 kids). The house easily accommodated all of us with plenty of space to hang out, and we didn't even maximize the whole property! The kids loved the apple tree out front, the big pine tree for climbing, and the jacuzzi tub in the master suite. Grownups rotated between the main living room, kitchen bar area, and the deck, with plenty of other lounging areas. It was on a bigger road so sometimes big trucks would come flying threw, but it was set back enough that it wasn't too big of a deal. All-in-all, it was great for our needs.
