With new COVID-19 rules and measures in effect, travel looks a bit different nowadays. Here's what you should know before you head off to Pelekanos:

• Know if any restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you lock something in.
• Requirements state that you must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, even at screening checkpoints. Be ready to adjust your mask for ID verification when asked.
• Do not hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA employee. Instead, position your pass on the reader and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• You are now allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your hand luggage. This will need to be taken out for screening.
• Put any personal items (keys, wallet and phone) in your carry-on instead of a bin to reduce handling during screening.
• If you're planning to take food on the plane with you, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to handle your carry-on bag or food container for closer inspection.
