"Last minute decision to go to Pestana Royal and first in Madeirs. After the booking I read the reviews and was in two minds. I didnt need to be as the place and rooms are spotlessly clean, food caters for all needs. A number of choices for hot and cold fish or meat eaters, vegetarians,(vegetables all dente). The rooms could do updating as a bit old fashion, but very clean. What does make this five star hotel are the staff. Not fair to name individuals,as they are all amazing, work hard and with pleasure. I certainly will be back."
