We had the odd luxury of staying in every room due to an unexpected extension in Potenza and the warmth and kindness of the owners and the community surrounding them during our stay here exceeded any expectation. "We arrived late on a Sunday in a heavy downpour. The town is very remote and there were zero options to eat anywhere or not even any supermarket. The owner originally said that his restaurant was closed on Sundays, but then felt bad for us and opened it just for us. The meal was great and he only charged us 53 euros for a dinner with wine. That was very reasonable although he could've taken advantage of our situation and charged us significantly more. The town though has nothing to offer other than a great view of the mountains "

"in 44 years of traveling around the world this was the worse and demeaning Hotel experience ever had( payment was made in advance BTW )! i cannot say anything about the accommodations because i never made it in!!! After an exhausting and temultuous trip to Potenza , my only concern was checking in , resting down my heavy luggage and preparing etc etc! however when i approached the door and tried to enter , there was no response or answer, i also tried to call a dozen times to no response! So after TWO AND A HALF HOURS ( see the photo below) of waiting for a response in the sweltering Heat, i had to rebook another accommodation on the spot because i could no longer endure the heat and exhaustion! i also contacted expedia about the matter and they refused to help me in making any concessions or correcting this horrendous situation, i also provided expedia with the information that when i attempted to get further info to reach the B&B that expedia sent a message saying that my room was no longer available ( see photo below)! if i could give - 5 stars i would , shame on the hotel and expedia for not returning the funds for a room that i could not access which resulted in me having to pay again for a whole other stay! NEVER AGAIN!"
