Lovely place with really lovely and friendly staff and good food. Excellent location near the entrance to Addo Elephant Park. Highly recommend staying here!"

"Smallish lodge with informative game drives. Staff really nice a friendly. Accomodation was clean and comfortable. Nice to have a couple of Hippo's hanging out the front. Food good without being over the top. Given the weather, didnt get to make much use of the outdoor area, but would be nice in summer. My only gripe is when I neede to cancel and rebook, it took almost 2 months and the commencement of credit card chargeback to get my refund (which was not disputed). "

"Very beautiful historic property with great views & location. On negative side -large airy village units only have warmish water not hot - village units outdoor showers had waist high weeds - supper menus are 5 course set menus that are repeated & are expensive for quality - restaurant staff lacking management & training - receptionists could do hostessing/oversight at meal times & spot checks on housekeeping/condition of units and gardens to support and train staff but do not - lack of comfy...

"We had a fantastic 3 days at Addo River-View Lodge. Our hostess, Leanne, was fabulous and very helpful and informative. The proximity of the location to Addo Elephant Park was ideal and we booked a guided full day tour there. We also enjoyed a sunset boat trip on the Sundays River and climbed the sand dunes. The local restaurant, Taste of Africa, was excellent and less than a 3 minute walk. Highly recommended."

"Sundune Guest House is a really lovely place to stay near Addo Elephant Park. The Manager, Byron, welcomed us warmly and with great charm, the room was large and very clean with en suite facilities and satellite TV. Breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room had a lovely view of the garden and the river. Highly recommended. "

"Comfortable, with easy access to Grahamstown approx 1hr, Addo Elephant park approx 15 min and Port Elizabeth 30 min. Staff are friendly and helpful. "

"Die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant waren freundlich und bemüht. Keine Zimmerreinigung. Nur ein Handtuch für zwei Personen. Pool sehr dreckig, somit nicht benutzbar. Besitzer und Manager uninteressiert und und unfreundlich. Preis/Leistung schlecht -> Unterkunft an sich in Ordnung aber zu teuer. Würden hier nicht wieder hin gehen."
