Mrs. Yolanda and her husband took their time to engage in their life experiences and show us their art collection within the facility. The breakfast was American style small and tasty if you want to eat a lot you will find plenty of coffee places and restaurants in the villa de Leyva. I can’t rate this property enough it is tranquil and solitary place to decompress ."

"The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, just half a block away from the main square (or plaza), and accessible by car, so no need to worry about bags.
Breakfast was served fresh and it was really good.
The hotel has a charming colonial style with a lot of history. The rooms are big and clean, and the bathrooms have been renovated.

"I stayed at El Mirador de Villa de Leyva from Friday to Sunday and overall had a great experience. The hotel is rustic and simple, but the view from the room is absolutely stunning—overlooking all of Villa de Leyva and the surrounding mountains. That view alone made the stay worth it.
The room was spacious and clean, with hot water and a comfortable temperature (no A/C needed). It’s quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The hotel includes a small restaurant where they serve a basic Colombian breakfast—nothing fancy but good enough to start the day. I didn’t try lunch or dinner.
Staff is limited but very friendly and attentive. One thing to keep in mind: the road to the hotel is unpaved. Our GPS first sent us through a steep back entrance that felt unsafe—make sure to use the front road instead.
While the hotel isn’t within walking distance of the plaza, it’s a short drive away. Once there, you’ll find tons of restaurants (local and international) at great prices, plus plenty of shops to buy souvenirs and crafts.
If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic, no-frills place to stay with one of the best views in town, I’d definitely recommend it.
