This was perfect for our family to get away from it all. Tom, the owner was extraordinarily friendly and did all he could to make our stay great! Definitely would stay here again!

The property itself had a nice view and access to the lake. Very remote and quiet. We had some issues with the cleanliness of the interior of cabin in bathroom and kitchen mostly. Addressed it with property owner. Would recommend some form of written instructions left at property on where things are (ie, garbage etc). Would reduce questions and be a nice more comfortable touch to all who stay.
Cabin and area surrounding was as described. We enjoyed fishing off the dock as well as the pontoon. There is an area for a campfire and a nice grill and picnic table. Tom was great to work with us and make our stay enjoyable. We liked it so much we booked his bigger cabin for next year! Looking forward to catching more nice fish and creating priceless memories with the grandkids and our daughter and son-in-law. Thank you, Tom! Tim and Catherine
If you are looking for a quiet, slow weekend with the most beautiful scenery, this is it! I actually ended up getting engaged during the time we were up and it was the perfect place to celebrate! 4 of us were able to stay in the home comfortably, cook breakfast every morning, grill dinner every night, and enjoy our days by the lake. It is a quiet neighborhood on a scenic lake and we could not have enjoyed it more! There were guests as the other house in the property, though it still felt incredibly private and we were able to share the outdoor accommodations with no problem at all. I can also imagine that this would be the perfect property for a larger group utilizing both homes. The proximity to town was perfect, as we were able to relax and slow down at the cabin while also taking advantage of all of the fun activities in the Minocqua area. Tom Walters was incredibly responsive and truly helped us make the most of our experience from check-in to check-out. I would highly recommend this stay!
About 20 minutes west of Minocqua, this smaller of two cabins on the property comfortably accommodated 7 of us and a pup. The wood burning fireplace added nice warmth and ambiance to our New Year's Eve. Having a dishwasher and laundry was an added bonus (a dryer for wet gloves and snowpants was clutch). We had a few glitches with many of the electronics (both TVs required some troubleshooting) but we were able to get decent internet speeds - sufficient to stream shows - and had better cell service in the cabin than we did in town. The lake access is right there (though in winter, we weren't able to fully appreciate it) and everything worked as we had expected. The heat was great (though it was chilly when we checked in) and the place is stocked with an abundance of extra blankets, kitchen tools, and even a high chair if you need it. The beds were on the firm side but comfortable and the furniture was in good condition. A nice northwoods escape.
Clean & comfortable, really enjoyed the fireplace at night after a day of snowmobiling. Communication with the host (Tom) was very good, would stay again.
Very nice cabins and lake. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only issue was the hill down to the lake was steep for my wife to get down. I could not tell that from the pictures.
We ended our family vacation here. There was a little hiccup with check in but it was fixed very quickly. The cabin has great space and the air conditioning was nice during the hot days we stayed there. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners were great to communicate with. We also rented the boat with the property which our family enjoyed. The one thing that would make it better would be some outdoor seating, we didn’t bring our own because we had been on a road trip prior and didn’t have the space but other than that we really loved our stay and would stay there again!
Checking in and out was so simple and there were 6 of us there ages from 14 to 80 years old period I take a trip with my father my son my brother and whoever else wants to join once a year to create memories, the boat was absolutely amazing , Lots of relaxing and fishing done. Everything was clean and easy to maintain. Will definitely keep that in our plans again for next year

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Cabin was nice, but not cleaned well. Dock was advertised as 48’ of space, but most of it was occupied with a pontoon boat and a boat lift that was not usable. Swim platform was on shore instead of in the water. Parking was an issue with a large mud pot hole in the center of the driveway. Privacy was an issue with no curtains on many of the windows. The lake chain was very nice, and the fishing was good. Great location.

Property was far from clean and parking of trailers for 2 guests not possible. Not worth the money
Nice cabin right on a lake with 2 bars with food close by for our snowmobiling weekend but a few glitches. The heat was not turned up before our arrival and after we returned that evening from a ride it was right back down to the coolest setting. Weird lock on kitchen door, but all questions were answered and rectified by owner immediately. Overall, neither would affect a nice weekend stay!

Good with a few minor issues.
Cabin was very nice and roomy. Only issue was mosquitos. Lots and lots of mosquitos! They kept coming into the cabin. Not sure if they were coming in thru the chimney or possibly the gap at the top of the door. Maybe consider a door gasket of some type? Pontoon rental was nice with 5 people we had enough room to do some fishing. A small issue.....no anchor to keep us in one spot for fishing. We managed to catch some perch, bluegill and small bass. I am curious as to how the fishing is in the fall. We saw deer, turkeys and otters while at the cabin. So peaceful. My parents really enjoyed getting away. Thank you.
Thomas the property manager is on top of any issues that came up during our stay. We lost power and I e-mailed Thomas. He gave me an update within 10 minutes that the power company was aware and working on it.
The property itself is nice. The hill is steeper than it looks in the pictures and there are two cabins on the property that are pretty close together. Two virtually new charcoal grills was nice as we had a party of 8 to grill for one night. Internet was speedy enough to stream and also surf at the same time with some hiccups from time to time but hey, you're not there to watch TV, so go enjoy the lake!
The beds were more comfortable than our beds at home and the rooms were quiet. The included plates/cups/utensils were nice and the dishwasher was quiet. The water quality was good and did not have any hint of iron or other tastes you sometimes get in a Northwoods cabin.
Speaking of water....the lake is large. We did not rent the boat while staying though it looked very nice and pretty new. The water is a little murky (more so when the lake is busy with boats) but still very swimmable. The kids had a blast swimming in the little bay the cabin is situated in. There were ducks, loons, and bald eagles all right in the bay.
Overall a very nice Northwoods experience.
Very nice, clean lake home surrounded by the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Great place to stay while playing a couple rounds of golf and exploring the area.
Was a very nice place... Beds we're comfortable. All was good. .
Place was fine. Easy to get to. The lake was right there. The only thing is most VRBOs I've been to Supply soap, shampoo, conditioner accessories and this one did not have anything. Not sure if it was mistake but nonetheless.
All in all great place!!
The owner, Tom was very responsive. We stayed in the smaller of the two properties, but the property still comfortably slept 6 adults. We enjoyed evenings by the lake at the firepit or board games inside and days on the lake in the owners rented pontoon. We enjoyed a stop for appetizers at the Moose Jaw and a game of volleyball! Lovely chain of lakes! Great trip!
My family had a great time at Tom's cabin. Loved that we had enough space for our family of 5--plus a washer and dryer! We rented Tom's pontoon and fished the entire time we were there. Lots of panfish in Pike Lake although we had no luck catching walleye and bass. We had shared amenities with the other cabin next to us that Tom owns but each group was respectful of each other and we each had an opportunity to use the fire pit. Had some questions for Tom and he always responded in the appropriate length of time.
The cabin was nice, has the basic essentials. The lake is beautiful! But holy cow, the mosquitos! I get them being bad outside, this is northern Wisconsin. But there were TONS of them inside the cabin also. Also, if you like a cozy blanket or a corkscrew, I'd recommend bringing your own. Distance to Minocqua wasn't too bad, very little options to buy firewood near the cabin though, I'd also recommend grabbing some in Park Falls or Minocqua before you get out to the cabin.
We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was well maintained and was exactly what we were looking for. Tom was quick to reply when I had questions. It's location made it easy to get on the snow mobile trails and head out on the lake to fish. My kids were asking to come back as soon as we left.
We had a wonderful 3 days of amazing snowmobiling with this place as our headquarters. Great access to the trails. Beautiful view of the lake. Wonderful hot shower after your ride in below zero weather. Functional cute kitchen. Lots of room for your gear and lounging around. Bring slippers as the floor gets chilly.
Loved our getaway after the busy holiday season. The beautiful wood-burning fireplace was our favorite part of the cabin, although we enjoyed the large open space of the whole house. It was so nice to have that extra table; just the right size for the eternal jigsaw puzzle that covered it. Plenty of room in the kitchen for many hands to make meals, and plenty of utensils & cookware to do it. View from the house of the lake was exceptional, and all the snow in the area provided lots of trails for snowshoeing the winter woods. A very quiet and peaceful place. We plan to return.
