Avoid at all costs
Owner is a scammer. It’s not clean at all. They don’t even change the sheets between stays. It was disgusting and the owner is very disrespectful and rude towards customers. Hotels.com weren't any help either. They still made us pay the entire rate even though we left as the room was gross

Thank you for making our Paris vacation wondweful!
Perfect hotel! Not only was it very clean (every day the staff cleaned our room!), but I always felt safe and comfortable. The staff was very good. They were attentive, kind and always helpful. I would be happy to stay there for every visit to Paris.

This was like a mom n pop place. When I went there the place was not clean and no toilet paper. I was locked out of the hotel in the morning. More like a hostel instead of a hotel

Near the Gare de Lyon
I moved to this hotel to be close to the Gare de Lyon. I chose an extremely budget option since this was not a planned stay - last minute mixup. So I was prepared to take the smallest cheapest room - only staying one night. When I got to the hotel about 9am, the concierge was happy to store my luggage for me while I went out exploring. When I got back, she had upgraded me to a bigger, nicer room. They were very accomodating. This is not a fancy hotel, but the service ( and the mattress) were just fine.

I had confirmation from hotel.com but when i arrived they said my name is not there and they have not recieve ny email from you about my reservation,they were unhelpful. Then i asked them to call you,then you have sent the email nd the problem solved

A place to be avoided
The room was supposed to be ready at 1.30 pm. I only got it by 3.30 pm. When I arrived, the lobby was dirty (since breakfast?) and the staff was arguing loudly with each other about the work to be done and which hadn't been done... Until late afternoon, it was difficult to pass, especially with suitcases, in the corridor of the 2nd floor as the vacuum cleaner had been "forgotten" in the middle. The room was small with an outdated bathroom (with an old tiny bath tub). It wasn't clean either: hair from previous customer on the bathroom floor. All in all, what I got was not worth the money I paid and I certainly don't recommend this hotel. I won't stay there again!

Great Location and Comfy
The room was a nice size for a single room and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in a long time. The location was great (close to two metro stops, Bastille, central Paris, and not far from Gare de Lyon). Wifi was a little spotty at times but overall pretty nice.

Very fair hotel considering the price, nice for a quick staying for one or two people, it is next to bastille's cultural and night life and gare de Lyon train station.

The room had not been cleaned properly. There were coffee stains on the wall, and on the door, and even urine stains on the toilet. Every day, I had to ask one employee to give me some toilet paper. I would not recommend paying for breakfast there either. The bread had been previously frozen, and then warmed up. Go to the local bakery next door! Do not spend 7 euros for breakfast. The carpet, everywhere, was filthy. hopefully, they will change it soon. It is conveniently located to the Bastille metro stop, but that is the only benefit. the employees were nice, but I still would not go back there.

Great Location
Small, older but refurbished hotel very close to the Seine and walking distance to Notre Dame. Great staff. We arrived in Paris very late - 1am - unexpectedly and a quick call to the hotel was all that was needed to be sure that someone would be there when we arrived. They did not have a 24-hr front desk, so we really appreciated that they waited for us to arrive.

It was very well located near the Bastille and metro stops. The internet hardly worked when they said it should. The bathroom looked newly remodeled, but then the toilet seat wasn't clean and the shower towel was raggedy....as I said in the title, it's fine for one night....not for a lengthy stay or even weekend stay in Paris though.

Decent budget hotel
Room was modest with basic bed, furnishings, etc as shown in pics but surprise was the renovated washroom/toilette which was great for a budget hotel. There is no elevator so I walked up to my room on old, creaky staircase. Staff only speaks French so that's an issue. I checked in late at night actually and woke up the guy to check in ....who came out wearing PJs and looked quite irritated. So my check in process was quite unwelcoming. Having said that I think for the price I paid, this was one of the better budget hotels I've been to in Eurpore. Esp for the renovated washroom with a big bathtub & big everything inside. Rest of the room and hotel is in the original (read old) state.

Basically, you get what you pay for. It's cheap! I certainly wouldn't want to have a long soak in the bath, but its a great location and I would stay again for a night (if I couldn't find anything else quite as cheap) There were 3 of us sharing a room. Beds were comfortable, but you wouldn't want to spend too much time in the room, but then why would you, when you're in Paris! Wasn't all that clean, but it did the job on a very small budget! Wouldn't take kids!!! It's defo somewhere only to store your luggage and get your head done

The cleanliness of room was not satisfied at all. The bedspread was too dirty and had stains on it. There was two toilet paper in the bathroom and both of them was old. The staff was not very friendly with very bad English. There was no breakfast. If I travel to paris again, this Hotel will be my last choice.

Reminded me of why I didn't want to go to Paris
If you're looking for the true American experience of being totally abused and disrespected by arrongant French people, then I strongly suggest you go to this hotel !!! When I checked in, the desk person didn't speak one word of English - I understand that I was in France but every other hotel I've stayed at in any country, the reception desk at least had a working knowledge of English. After checking in, I asked for a local map (one was not offered). Upon opening the map, I asked the receptionist where we were - she basically grunted and pointed. I then asked to mark on the map exactly where the hotel was - nope, she wasn't even close. Internet wasn't working on the 4th floor and, when mentioned to the next person at the front desk, I was told that it was working. I then realized that they had internet at the first floor and they had no interest that it wasn't working on the 4th floor. The maid left my window open EVERY DAY after she cleaned (?) the room - not my idea of good security. The continental breakfast was a joke. No buffet, they bring you a crossiant, juice, coffee and some jam - THAT'S IT !!!! I asked for a second crossaint and they had to microwave another one (with an attitude). Now I'm no gourmet chef but I do know that when you leave something in the nuker for too long, it turns to rock. The second crossaint could have been used by the local builders to repair a wall. Now I know why I didn't want to go to Paris !!!

Hotel Luxor Bastille in Paris
I found this hotel just about adequate for a short stay. The room and bath/shower rooms were small and the mattress old-fashioned, neither sprung nor foam rubber. However, it was firm, which suits me. Location is reasonably convenient; a five to ten minute walk to the Place de la Bastille, another ten minutes to the Isle St. Louis. The hotel has no particular character. Receptionists are reasonably pleasant.

The Luxor Bastille was easy to find I knew it was not going to be the Ritz but I wanted a place to rest myself whilst exploring Paris. It was a very well located, budget hotel for exploring. The bed was comfortable, it was quiet but not very well maintained, the shower room, all servicable was not particularly clean with mould in the shower and a wobbly seat on the toilet. There was no plug for the sink and the floor tiles were badly chacked and chipped. HOWEVER, you pay your money you take your choice, for 50 Euro per night with it central location it was just great and YES I would stay there again, why pay Novotel prices. Just do not expect Champagne at beer prices. OK ?

It was one of the worst hotel we've never seen before. The room was small with 3 beds. The bathroom was smelling, old and small. The elevator was really small: no more than one person. All the hotel is old and a bit dirty. Good things: good price and nice neighborhood. Bad things: all the rest. we dont reccomendet it at all!
