"This property is currently under new management and really needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard, particularly for the price they're charging, the accommodation was not adequate and poor value for money spent. It is not clean, a bit shabby in decor, and the grounds are very messy requiring a real lot of hard work, It is pet-friendly which is excellent and the host was accommodating in the ways he could be, quite friendly, yet it was promoted as a cottage and our accommodation was more...

Lakeside Inn

10/10 Excellent

"The people that worked there where very kind and helpful!"

Le Temps Perdu: 88 Acre Wilderness Park between Historic Westport and Perth

8/10 Good

"This is a difficult review to write, and I needed to wait a while after my stay to make sure it was fair to the owners. Let me say, that for a cozy cabin get-away, without having to get away, a weekend to unplug from your devices and enjoy the wildlife and nature and a short trip to Westport than this is your listing. Unfortunately, the pictures of the property are, in my opinion, rather dishonest. The first few pictures are not even of the cabin we stayed in. Other pictures do not accurately depict how small the space actually is, and even has pictures of what I assume is the property owners house. If you quickly browse the listing like I did, you will be dissapointed. But if you read through the lengthy description of the property details it is not like they tried to hide anything, but I need to dock points on accuracy of the listing for the pictures, making the space appear larger.During our stay our internet was spotty, you could use it to view E-mails but videos would be a challange. Property owners were VERY NICE. 2 cats and a dog on the property were also very friendly."

Henrys cabin on the river

10/10 Excellent

"This is the first time we have rented a cabin in this way, and we couldn’t be happier with the overall experience. It’s was easy to find with the help of the owner. The cabin was right on the water with a lovely wooded area surrounding the property The cabins interior was cozy and inviting. Everything was clean and well maintained. We have 2 children, 7 and 9 and they loved it too. We explored the water side and made a fire in the pit. The bed was incredible!!!! One of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. It was an easy and pleasurable experience which we may come back to in the future"

Relax, Recharge & Reconnect at Amberleigh Guest House

10/10 Excellent

"We had such a wonderful two-night stay at the farm with our family! The kids especially loved seeing the cows and calves—it was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.Don was an exceptional host—so friendly, welcoming, and thoughtful. He went above and beyond to make us feel at home. He brought us fresh farm eggs in the morning and even picked up fresh apples for us. Those little touches really made our stay special. The farm was peaceful, quiet, clean, and very well organized. We really enjoyed having the BBQ available and spending relaxed family time in such a beautiful and tranquil setting. It was a great break from the usual busy routine. The only couple of issues we experienced were that the Wi-Fi router wasn’t working during our stay, and the listing mentions three bathrooms, whereas there is actually one 3-piece bathroom. That said, these were minor issues compared with the overall experience. We truly enjoyed our stay and the hospitality we received from Don. The kids had a fantastic time, and we made some wonderful family memories. We would definitely love to come back!"

"It had everything we required for a pleasurable solar powered rustic cottage labour day weekend with the added bonus of a one hour fireworks show across the lake.Thoroughly enjoyed the patio dock and firepit. The cottage interior was comfortable and well designed. Loved the high ceilings with one of the bedrooms containing a skylight. What's not to like."
