    The Space:

    Casa da Madorra is a spacious, light-filled modern home set in the green hills of Paredes de Coura, in Portugal's Alto Minho region. Designed for comfort and privacy, it sleeps up to 8 guests across three bedrooms and three bathrooms — ideal for families, groups of friends, or a festival crew looking for a proper home base.

    The private heated swimming pool is available year-round, covered and protected by an automatic rolling cover. Whether you're visiting in August for the festival or in October for the autumn colours and hiking trails, the pool is ready when you are. Use of the heated pool is available at an additional cost — please enquire at the time of booking.

    The open-plan living and dining area is bright and airy, with a modern kitchen fully equipped for longer stays. Air conditioning throughout. A curated bookshelf, comfortable sofas, and generous natural light make it a home you'll want to return to.



    Enjoy the private garden and terrace, with a BBQ for long summer evenings. Private off-road parking for multiple vehicles.



    Guest Access:

    Guests have exclusive access to the entire property, including the pool, garden, and all indoor amenities. The Portugal Active concierge service is available 24/7 to cater to all your needs, such as organizing local excursions or booking private chef services. Please request any service at least 72 hours in advance.



    Important Notes:

    - During your stay, regular garden and pool maintenance may take place. These interventions are important to ensure that all equipment remains clean, functional, and safe to use.

    - During the high season (May to October), the pool is maintained regularly to ensure the best experience for our guests.

    - In the low season (November to April), the pool remains operational with regular maintenance, guaranteeing comfort and quality throughout the year.

    - If you wish to have the pool heated, please notify us at least 5 days in advance.

    Paredes de Coura is one of Portugal's best-kept secrets — a small, unspoiled town surrounded by ancient forests, river valleys, and protected landscape, in the far north of the Minho region near the Spanish border.

    The Vodafone Paredes de Coura Festival, held every August on the banks of the Taboão river, is one of Europe's most beloved independent music festivals — intimate, beautiful, and just 3 km from the house.
