"It was bearable, but more roach motel than hotel. Dark and dingy room at the back overlooking a swamp-like swimming pool and AC units. Bed reasonably comfortable, pillows (or rather pillow) dreadful. Inconveniently separate toilet and bathroom. Breakfast not worth the money really, but the coffee was nice. Host was agreeable and friendly. Sadly this was the only place we could find as most were fully booked. Next time, I’ll look more in advance and get something better. "

"The Chateau Colbert has been extensively restored over the past 20 years or so to a very high standard. This has obviously been a labour of love for the present owners. The rooms are very comfortable and the views over the river and forests were outstanding. The food and service were exceptional and the dining room was a wonderful place to eat. They have the largest Japanese garden in Europe which we definitely return to see. The Chateau is highly recommended."

Évidemment je me suis contentée d une brioche ( un peu juste pour un petit déjeuner à 15 euros). Le lendemain je prenais mon petit déjeuner à 8h, j’ai donc pensé que tout serait prêt et bien non ! Même schéma. Cet hôtel est bien pour les vacances mais pas pour un professionnel qui se lève et doit déjeuner pour réussir sa journée de travail. Dommage."
