Sun trap by the beach!

• Listed in late 2021, this clean and tidy beach bach is decked out with new furniture, furnishings, and appliances
• A 90 second walk and your feet are on the soft sand
• Located between Paraparaumu Beach and Raumati Beach villages, you are a short beach walk from a wide range of cafes, bars, and restaurants
• All linen is provided
• Bright, spacious upstairs living area opens out onto north-facing deck, with views of Kapiti Island – great for entertaining or just chilling out
• Free, unlimited fibre broadband
• Smart TV with Freeview. Chromecast is also provided for if you wish to cast apps from your smartphone
• DVD player and selection of DVDs
• Kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and kitchenware, ample pantry space, ceramic hob and microwave oven, fan oven, dishwasher, and good-sized refrigerator/freezer
• BBQ is available over the summer months
• Dining area seats up to 6 people
• Three bedrooms, all with queen-size beds
• Fourth (small) bedroom is set up as an office/study with desk and chair
• Two bathrooms (one on each level), with a shower and toilet in each; one bath
• Heat pump upstairs and 2x micathermic heaters downstairs for the cooler months
• Outdoor shower is ideal for removing sand and salt after swims
• Washing machine and good-sized tub in laundry
• Mini clothesline outdoors
• Ample off-street parking - space for several vehicles and/or a boat
• Choice of outdoor areas to relax in, including balcony deck, covered patio, or lawn
• Shelter from the sea breeze makes for a very warm, relaxing environment
• Note that the house entrance is at ground level, but the living area and master bedroom are at the upper-level - access is by internal stairs only
• Safe swimming beach
• Close to cycle ways, nature walks, Kapiti Island Tours, aquatic centre, golf and bowling clubs, Marine Gardens, children's play park and miniature railway
• 10 minutes (drive) to Paraparaumu train station; 55 minutes by train to Wellington station and stadium.
• End your day admiring the stunning sunset, or cross the street to the beachfront to watch the ball of fire sink below the sea ….
… and drift off to sleep to the sound of the waves
• No cleaning charge – please see our modest cleaning requests in the information guide provided in the bach.
• To help keep costs (and the rental price) down, we have no street rubbish collection. We ask you to take your rubbish away with you if it is convenient and, if not, we provide containers for leaving rubbish and recycling at the bach.
• Please note there is an extra fee for bookings of more than 4 guests ($20 per extra guest per night)
• We may request references for bookings over the xmas/new year period.
• Before booking, please read our Safety and Security Policy and Information, which forms part of the rental agreement. It covers our Covid-19 policy and also provides information about our alarm-activated security cameras, which will not be activated during your stay.

Perfect home!

What a lovely home, just a stones throw from a beautiful long beach!! We were welcomed with a bottle of bubble and chocolates and a card!!, the ghosts were very quick to respond and keep in contact. The house is so comfortable, good bed linens, fluffy towels, excellent water pressure in the shower. Kitchen is well designed and kitted out, we did not want for anything.

Girly weekend away

Great weekend with daughters and granddaughters. Lovely walks on the beach. Also sitting on the deck in the sun. A warm house and electric blankets on the beds a bonus. Will definitely stay again. A true home away from home.

Warm and Relaxing Bach

We had a fabulous Easter Weekend 2023 on the Kapiti Coast and especially staying in this amazing bach. Cute place close to beach

This spot was perfect for 1 couple & 2 friends (4 adults total). The location is fabulous- minutes walk to the beach and a nice walk to many cafes and bistros along the waterfront. Easy to find from the highway with good parking on site. Would not suit people with mobility limitations. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped and the bbq was perfect. The only thing we would’ve wished for was better weather!!

A Great Weekend

Fantastic, spotlessly clean with beautiful bedding, modern furniture, 2 bathrooms & 3 bedrooms. Great value for money for our family of 4. 10 min stroll to shopping area, cafes & restaurants. Only 1 minute to the beach. Loved sitting on the deck in the afternoon sun. Kitchen very well equipped with all new utensils. It was nice & cosy too with use of the heat pump. Beautiful stay

We absolutely loved our stay. Everything in the listing was to our expectations. Child friendly, family friendly property. There was only a few little things (better street signage to the property, a covering for the main entrance door and a laundry bag to put wet towels in) these were mentioned to the property owners and we’re happily received). Sun Trap by the beach

This property is clean and comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds and furniture. Thank you to hosts Karen and Bill for welcome gift and card - a nice gesture. It really is a sun trap in the afternoon as the name suggests. Just a short walk to the beach. Plenty of restaurants at beach shopping area. I would happily recommend this property to others and would use again if I was going down there.

The property was great. We only stayed 2 nights as the middle night we were on Kapiti Island. During heavy rain on Saturday evening we noticed water running down the flue. We left a note so hope the cleaning people passed that on.

Family visit

This place was perfect for a long weekend stay to catch up with family in Raumati. We really only need beds, shower and somewhere to make breakfast. Everything was comfortable and communication with the hosts was very good. The house is in a good location, close to beach and amenities.
