"We had a fantastic stay at Palazzo Santa Maria and would highly recommend it. From the moment Nicholas collected us from the port, the hospitality was exceptional. He is an incredibly kind and attentive host and couldn’t have done more for us – helping with taxis and restaurant bookings, offering recommendations, and even driving us to Ano Syros one evening and giving us advice on where to eat and what to see. The hotel itself is beautiful – a historic building restored impeccably, combining its original character with modern luxury and everything you could need. Our upgraded room was finished to a very high standard, the bed was extremely comfortable, and despite being only a short walk from the centre, the area was wonderfully quiet. We slept incredibly well throughout our stay. Breakfast was another highlight: simple but done exceptionally well, with lovely table service from Anna, fresh fruit and yoghurt, cakes, continental options, eggs and freshly made coffee each morning. A beautiful hotel, wonderful hosts and a perfect example of Greek hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return."

"The views from the hotel are breathtaking! The location is perfect for enjoying all of Syros, especially Asteria Beach. If you want loungers at Asteria, reserve in advance. We had two sea view rooms in the historic building for three nights. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The bar was great for drinks before going to dinner and the breakfast each morning was delicious. The mattresses were stiff, which is the only minor complaint. Highly recommend!"

From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely welcome. Whether it was recommending places to visit, looking after us in the restaurant, or simply greeting us with a smile every day, nothing was ever too much trouble. As a family, we've stayed in many hotels over the years, and Armlia Hotel genuinely stands out as one of the very best. Every part of our stay exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with stylish, immaculately clean rooms that are both comfortable and relaxing. The location is perfect—just a short stroll from the beach and within easy reach of everything we wanted to explore, while still offering a peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant was another highlight. Breakfast was excellent, and every meal we had was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is exceptional. What really makes this hotel special, though, is the people. Every member of staff we met was genuinely friendly, professional. It's rare to find a hotel where everything just works so well, but Armlia Hotel has managed it. If you're visiting Syros, do yourself a favour and stay here. We left with wonderful memories and will definitely be returning. Thank you to the entire Armlia team for such a memorable stay"

"The location of this hotel is superb, the most convenient place to stay if you’re arriving by boat. The rooms are basic (better lighting needed and the bathroom was extremely tight). However the cafe is cute. And the staff were simply outstanding. Excellent value for money."

"Nice water front view. Room was small and dated. Shower was tiny. The door to the balcony was very heavy and difficult operate. No awning for afternoon shade. Hotel guests charged full price for sunbeds sets...."

"Excellent hotel, the staff were amazing especially the team on reception, they gave food recommendations and always arranged taxis and car hire for us they really were great, friendly guys. The hotel is spotless with a nice pool area and gym, the pool area could do with a little more shade. Good location, easy 20 min walk to town or a €6 taxi. Highly recommend and we would stay again if we were to return to Tinos."
