Not worth this price
Let me start with the good points since there are very few : the look of the room - beautiful
Now the rest, I’m an experience traveller and experienced in hospitality and I am ensuring that this hotel can charge such a high price or the poor service provided :
- we cannot driving ourselves and it’s been impossible to find the hotel : the pin location is not accurate (the hotel is located almost an hour from kandy im the countryside) and there are no sign anywhere to indicate the right direction of the hotel. We then tried to call the hotel that initially was not responding - it took us an extra hour turning around
Then we arrived to the hotel, staff is very nice but untrained to the standard expected with the price
We got our, looks good but smells bad…but anyways we decided to enjoy the view waiting for our diner to come to the room and came COLD…
Then to digest the disappointment I needed to take a bath but I had to cancel dur to a big leakage when I open the tap of the bathtub
Luckily (for the clients and for me) the hotel was not full and I got another room…
As you can see this is a lot for a one night stay and honestly the biggest mistake this hotel has made is too set high expectations charging such high price (I paid 412 usd for 1 night inc taxes).
Nothing is ready for this price not the hotel or the service…
This hotel was supposed to be the best hotel of my 10days trip, but will remain my biggest disappointment
