"This boutique hotel is stunning and quiet located up the hill just outside of town. The staff was friendly and helpful, and had great recommendations for dinner in town. We only stayed for one night but could stay there for longer if we had the time. The room was very comfortable and had an excellent view of the lake and volcano. Breakfast was gorgeous with fresh fruit, homemade bread with marmelade, eggs, meat and cheese. A beautiful retreat in the countryside. "

"This place is beautiful! We weren't sure what to do when we arrived at the front gate, but someone came out to let us in and get us all checked in. Our cabin was absolutely gorgeous, complete with a wood stove, Chilean toaster :), and a back deck with a view of the lake. There was a stairway down to the shoreline from the deck. They said they couldn't do it directly and suggested using a website. "The service level at this hotel is terrible. Don’t be deceived with the beautiful surrounding forests and the well marketed architecture. There is almost no service. The staff is like floating clueless ghosts and everywhere in the hotel is freezing. The food is also terrible. Nawelpi is certainly not a 5 star hotel. I’d like to meet the person who gave 5 stars to this hotel. At best it’s 3 stars. The indifferent attitude of the staff is unforgivable. In the room, almost nothing works. "
