The best time to visit Pangkalan Tebang is generally during the dry season, which runs from April to September.

During these months, you'll experience less rainfall and more sunshine, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region. This period is great for outdoor activities like jungle trekking, river cruises, and visiting local longhouses without the disruption of heavy downpours. The weather is typically warm and humid, but the reduced rain makes for more comfortable excursions.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway often find this time of year particularly appealing. The clearer skies allow for better stargazing opportunities in the evenings, and the drier trails make for more pleasant walks through the rainforest. Many of the more secluded resorts and lodges also offer better accessibility during these months.

For families, the dry season offers the best conditions for enjoying Pangkalan Tebang's wildlife and cultural attractions. Children can more easily participate in guided nature walks and boat trips to spot proboscis monkeys and other local fauna.
