Lovely room & building, quiet and safe. I traveled by myself and felt very secure exploring Casco Viejo. The room is exactly as pictured with self control a/c which I appreciated bcuz it cools off quite quickly. Supermercado Rey is literally around the corner and there are many restaurants within a 3 minute walk. The Fish Market is also within walking distance as is Cinta Costera (a walking path along the water with an outdoor gym along the way). I enjoyed my stay and wish I had extended it another week! Muchas Gracias Maria.

We booked this property for a 14-night stay but ultimately left after the first night.Upon arrival, we noticed a strong, persistent odor inside the unit that we personally found overwhelming. Although the space was clean and the building is historic in nature, the smell did not dissipate even after ventilating the unit and running the air conditioning. Each time we left and returned, it was immediately noticeable again.That evening, I experienced throat irritation, coughing, and chest discomfort, which led us to decide that continuing our stay was not a good choice for us. While others may be comfortable here, guests who are sensitive to odors, air quality, or historic building conditions may want to take this into consideration before booking.In addition, we experienced some functional and privacy concerns, including no hot water at the kitchen sink (hot water piping not connected) and limited privacy due to sightlines from the common areas and gaps in drapery.This review is shared to reflect our personal experience and to help future guests make an informed decision.
