The great room shares the breathtaking, panoramic view of the beaches with the oversized deck. The kitchen is well equipped and there are three pretty bedrooms and 2 baths. Loved that it was right on beach and was nice having dog park next to it. It’s an older home, which I don’t have a problem with but could use some updates and a little TLC. Which is why I gave it an overall 3 rating. Meaning the ceiling tiles are pretty gross, the knobs in the showers have visible mildew/mold inside of them. There were cockroaches (very much alive)in the kitchen and dead ones in the bathroom and bed room. The floors could use a good cleaning. It’s obvious that the floors were only swept and not mopped as our feet were black from walking on the floors barefoot. Had to wear sandals in the house bc floors were so dirty. The deck is huge but really needs some shade because it becomes too hot for the pets to walk on midday. It’s what I expected except for the pests. Really need to get better pest control and clean floors better between renters. Home really has potential

Absolutely loved the location!! Dog beach next door was awesome since our furbabies vacation with us! The house is an older house but didn’t bother us any!! Loved the huge deck!! But if you stay here with small dogs they can slip between the rails though.....but we travel with garden netting....because we run into this problem alot....so we just wrapped it aroumd the deck. The 2 refrigerators were very handy! Will definitely stay here again! Sunspot realty were awesome with communication!

Park your car - You won't need to drive!
You couldn’t ask for a better location to Pier Park, or for better “people watching” at the Dog Beach. Property would be great for a small family to enjoy the beach all day and come inside without worrying about ruining the floor or furniture. Living area is open and spacious. You are directly next to a public beach and a prominent bus stop. Deck is great, but would be even better if it was partially covered (we visited during a heatwave) and if there was a way to see the shoreline over the sand dune (maybe I’m short). Loved that the deck is completely fenced in, though. The kitchen is much larger than expected, and there are two refrigerators. The covered parking was a huge plus. SunSpot Realty is excellent – We will likely stay with them again.

Good but a lot of issues
There were a lot of pro and cons to our stay. A good thing was that it was within walking distance to pier park and the deck was massive. Some cons were the outside area had not been kept well at all. My father actually removed weeds with his hands so we could get through the gate and walkway from the house to the back deck. And the two showers shown were not able to be used due to not working. There was also trash and something dead within the huge weeds and the property does not show a picture of this in their ad. (I have pictures but there isn’t an option to upload) There were about 5 to 6 chairs that were broken on the deck that we were not able to use. Another issue was privacy. This was right beside the public beach entrance. Other people were using our beach access and with small children, makes this not so much a family friendly place. The house “smelt” clean upon arrival but we spent the first day cleaning up dog hair from the floors and washing comforters due to dog hair being all over them. With a child allergic to dogs, this was not ideal. Lastly, there were several cockroaches in the house. When we arrived home on Saturday one had made its way into a bag that was open and came out when we were unpacking it. This property could be so much better than what it was with more TLC and upgrades. Something’s we should have read up on more such as the public beach entrance being right beside of it and it being a dog home but is still no excuse for cleanliness.

The good, the bad and the ugly
What's that title say? It says not everyone is going to feel the same way. If you're looking for a luxury "penthouse style" stay so you can go out to dinner or whatever every day/night, this might not be the place for you. If you are OCD and looking to complain about every nook and cranny, this might not be the place for you. If you are an avid beach goer and appreciate old Florida world charm, easy access to the beach and can emphathize with how much money it takes to keep these places at the top of the chain as well as how hard it is to find the best workers these days, this place is for you. To start with, Sunspot Realty was wonderful to deal with from start to finish. As far as accomodations, the main rooms were very open and up to date. The kitchen had all the supplies you could need. The bedrooms were small and outdated with itchy quilts. If you came to sleep, that might be a problem. However, me and mine came for the beach! Access was wonderful. The deck was fun. The view was amazing. I would stay here time after time. My husband asked if I could live in this house (I'm kind of picky) and my immediate answer was yes, yes, yes...a thousand times over!!!

Our Week Away
Overall, this property is in a great location & looks as it did online. The kitchen is nice & well- stocked. The living area is open and spacious. There were plenty of linens--don't need to bring any. We had to buy hangers for the closets (we left them for the next renters) as there were only a few plastic baby hangers in our closets. We found 3 huge roaches in the house (bedroom & bathroom). Probably time to call the exterminator. The deck is nice & the view is great, but since it's a dog friendly house, it would be nice if the grassy area was cut low so dog's could potty there. As it was, there is dense tall sea grass and shrubs 3-4' high, which is not useable to most dogs. The bathrooms could benefit from some updating for aesthetics, but were fully functional. The drop ceiling in the living area is stained with a lot of water marks and black mold around the ceiling vents. If you don't look up, everything else looks great!! If you bring dogs, watch when you open the front door-- it leads directly to a very busy street. We had a wonderful vacation and love the location of this house. It will fit your needs as long as you're not looking for a posh and upscale home.

Amazing House Amazing Time
We can’t say enough about how much fun we had at the house by the beach. The house it’s self was extremely comfortable and clean. From the moment we walked in and saw the huge window facing the ocean we knew this would be a vacation to remember. Mornings were filled with walks on the beach coffee on the deck and answering work emails didn’t seem like work. The biggest fan was Rusty our 4 legged son who had a smile on face the entire time. The house sits right in front of Dog Beach where everyone brings their furry friends to play in the sand. Rusty was often the first one up begging to go and sit on the deck. It is more then safe to assume we will return again soon.

Enjoyed our stay at this modest beach front home with surprising space in all the right places. Our extended family of 10 vacationed together with 4 of us staying at this home and the other 6 at a nearby condo. This home was perfect for us to get togethers on the large beach front deck. Grandparents could relax on the deck and easily watch the younger generations fly kites on the beach. We liked how the deck area was able to be completely closed off keeping children safe from beach and street. Plenty of room to ride the tricycle and have 8’ wading pool we brought. Multiple patio loungers and large picnic table were ready for our group on arrival. The 2 dining tables in the spacious open living area with plenty of sofas were relaxing. Every bedroom and living-dining area had a beach view. Mom,85, enjoyed riding her handicap scooter to the pier. The kitchen was well stocked and we used both refrigerators. Plenty of parking space. We appreciated the full size washer allowing large loads of towels to be done at once. We highly recommend this home and hope to return.
