  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

Loved our stay

We loved our visit. The Villa was updated and modern. All appliances were newer and clean. There were plenty of plates, silverware, and cups to use if you wanted to bring your own food. There was plenty of space for our family of 4. The location was great! It was a short walk over the bridge to the main pool and beach. If you don't feel like walking, there is a shuttle (golf cart) service you can use. There are some great restaurants across the street and an ice cream place. There are several other restaurants near by within a 4 minute drive. There are plenty of things to do. Our only complaint was the floor was dirty, witch is easily solved with a mop. We would totally stay here again.

Unit need deep cleaning and some fixing done!

When we arrived to this villa the AC was not working and it smelled as is someone peed all over the master bathroom. The smell was so strong that my LO kept gagging and we couldn’t even stay a minute inside the unit. There was so much sand all over the living-room floor and surfaces and on the bed in the second room. Dust bunnies on the floor, pillow had some stains and the whole unit seemed like they “forgot” to clean it.. but the biggest issue was because they don’t have maintenance or managers on site after hours they couldn’t even fix anything until morning. And we couldn’t stay in a smelly, hot, dirty unit, even minutes, let alone the whole night. They put us in a different room but only for one night. Because we traveled during the spring break, the Southern Rentals weren’t able to change our unit to a different one for the entire stay. (Everything was fully booked!) They ended up canceling our reservation and refunding us the money. The refund process was good, but the whole situation put us in such a horrible experience to this beautiful city. Because we had to hop from hotel to hotel doing one night stays for the whole trip. I wish there was a pain and suffering reimbursement for the situations like this. If the company or the owner is not taking full responsibility to make sure the rental unit is fully ready for the dates that are booked someone needs to take responsibility for that. Now I will definitely think twice before I book anything in Panama City, and most likely will not be renting from the same company and definitely not this Villa ! ):
