"Very quaint and unique cabin! Looks right out to the trees and valley. Easy access from main road via a few stairs. Almost at the end of the paved road so fairly quiet and private. Updated with all the normal amenities and warmly comfortable furnishings. Great place for some R&R. Host Bonnie went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time."

"Thanks for hosting us at The Lilacs cabin on Mt Palomar. We truly relaxed while staying -- the setting is so peaceful, surrounded and shaded by huge cedars and oaks, and visited closely throughout the day by woodpeckers, jays, pigeons, quail, and other birds. This century old cabin glows with character, from its patchwork quilt-like additions, to its mildly skewed floor, to its eclectic decor items. The cabin reminded us of other homey houses of similar vintage -- it was immediately comfortable....

"This was a great stay, we always wish we had more time on the Mountain. The cool nights made having a fire in the wood stove so wonderful. My son and I enjoyed splitting wood, my wife and daughters enjoyed all of the wild flowers on the mountain and the AFrame with luxurious bathrooms!"

"All of this is just so you are aware for other people. We were still blessed enough to stay. 1. Internet didn’t work for about 24 hours 2 The website states in the “description of beds” that there are two twin beds in addition to the bunk beds in the “kids” bedroom. That was not the case. There was, infact a brindle bed but there was a fold up “twin pad” that was dirty laying in the master closet, that was also dirty. 3. The “kids” bedroom closet was also dirty. 4.
