From trendy Soho to glitzy Hollywood, Palermo is a top destination for visitors to Buenos Aires.

The attractive Palermo district is both charming and fun no matter what you decide to do here, you will have a wonderful time and take some great memories away with you. Palermo is one of the most exciting and energetic districts in all of Buenos Aires how you enjoy it depends on what time of day you visit! The Palermo district is characterised by tree-lined streets, cobblestone alleyways and charming buildings. It is home to both the Buenos Aires Zoo and the beautiful Botanical Gardens, which contains Roman, Oriental, and French sections, and is home to plant life from all over the world.

Start your day by meandering through the heart of Palermo Soho where you will find pretty little boutiques and trendy bars. Take a stroll down Avenida Santa Fe for some great shopping before you stop in Palermo Viejo to gaze at some of the oldest houses in Buenos Aires. While there, taste some of the local fare or try a glass of Argentinian Malbec. You can head to Plaza Serrano at the weekend to visit the outdoor markets or to grab a coffee at one of the French-style cafés that grace the cobblestone alleyways. This area is the ideal place to window shop or people-watch you’ll always find something new round every corner.

As day becomes night, glamorous Palermo Hollywood is the place to be. As the sun sets, the streets of Hollywood come alive with the happy sound of music and laughter. The best nightclubs in the city can also be found here, and the entertainment lasts long into the night. Hollywood is also the place to go if you are interested in learning to tango there are evening classes available in this area so grab a partner and give it a whirl! Whatever you do here, you’ll never be short of options. The streets are lined with inviting cafés, boutiques, and bars to keep you happily entertained from dawn until dusk. This area is easy to get to by taking the Metro D line or by taking a bus to Plaza Italia.
