Cabin Eight-Oh-Five

"There is so much to say! This stay was exactly what I needed. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything one could need. The pictures do it no justice. The grounds around the cabin are well kept and the inside felt so big and spacious. I enjoyed the fact that the cabin was tucked away a bit which added to privacy and charm. The beds were comfy and the amenities made it so that it was hard to even want to leave to explore the area. The living room couch consumes you with comfort. The wifi signal is by far one of the strongest signals I've encountered in such a rural area so while I was able to disconnect, I was still able to be reached or reach out in case of any emergencies. They thought of everything with this cabin! Pete, the host, was very attentive and just a message away but he also respected privacy. The house rules were clear and understandable and properly listed in a very professionally made guidebook. The endless supply of wood for the firepit was a personal favorite because it made for some very relaxing evenings to unwind and disconnect. Not far from the cabin are some great restaurants that I really enjoyed. La Cabana mexican restaurant being my favorite! But there were others that provided great food for a good price. The hospitality of the locals felt great as well. I got the relaxation that I was seeking from this experience. I plan to return soon! If this sounds good to you... book it!! You won't regret it."

"Had a birthday weekend trip here with some friends and absolutely loved this house! It is exactly as pictured and a very peaceful getaway! The hot tub really was the cherry on top. My only complaint is that there was dirty dishes in the dishwasher and a really old and gross lasagna in the oven when we arrived. The cleaners did not take care of these things in preparation for the next guest.. just be cautious of that! The towels and bedding were clean though. I’d still highly recommend as check in and out was easy and the town is very quaint! Peak foliage season!"

"We stood here for a 3D archery shot offered by NorthHill. The archery event was held on the property in the woods. The resort is pet friendly which was great. The staff was excellent and friendly. The rooms dates but the view from the lodge restaurant and bar were outstanding. The rooms needed better cleaning and it would have been nice to have a working pool. Overall, I would like to return as the location was great and the staff wonderful."

"Our entire family really enjoyed our stay in Margaretville, NY, at the Shiloh. It's an area we visited many times in the distant past. The house was spacious, well appointed and clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds, bedrooms and bathrooms were outstanding. The grandchildren really enjoyed the toys. My daughter and son-in-law enjoyed the hot tub. Although it did not diminish from our stay at all, we were not able to figure out how to work the Karaoke machine. Many of the instructions were in Korean. The kitchen might have benefitted from a colander."

"The cabin is beautiful and the view is just as picturesque as it looks. The decorations are eccentric but cute. Pick this cabin if you’re a maximalist! The host was very responsive leading up to my trip and when I locked myself out in the rain. The surrounding area is beautiful and quaint. A great escape from the city"
