Thanks to John, the owner of the hotel, for letting us park the car, after we had checked out, while we took a several hour long boat trip. The hotel is excellent location wise, so convenient to Paihia Wharf. The room was quite large, clean and had all the amenities that we hoped for - coffee, milk, etc.

Perfect spot to stay in Paihia
Fabulous experience from check in to check out. Wendy was wonderful. Friendly and helpful! Gave us really good suggestions for food and hiking. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location!

Excellent location, a short walk from the wharf and shops. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Fantastic outlook from the unit. Only possible issue was a couple of short internet outages.

Great location and friendly staff
Only stayed one night, but fantastic location near the ferry pier to Russell; the Owner / manager was extremely helpful and friendly. For a "motel", the rooms far exceeded my expectations with electric blankets, heating, in-room kitchenettes and self-catering supplies, and overall condition was very clean and well maintained. I would definitely come back.

Clean room central handy location Good for family. But only one thing Waste water drainage stuck maybe we stay not good timing, so shower and toilet kind of stuck. Other than that good place to stay.

I had a great 4 night stay. John (owner) was very helpful on arrival with local information and recommendations and always friendly. The room was large, clean and comfortable and just a couple of minutes walk from Paihia shops, restaurants and wharf. Would definitely recommend!

Customer service was amazing. Bathroom stunk really yuck. Alot of dust on lights when moved for reading. Next door bar played music until midnight made it hard night to get some sleep. Went to leave at 8.15 and no one at reception and no instructions how to leave key. To get a morning sea view the windows were covered in humidity and water.

Excellent location right opposite to the beach..bar next door or fish and chips restaurant at walking distance..very lovely atmosphere..our room was small but just right for us..bed very comfy had a gud night's sleep..stayed over night but felt well rested for the trip back home..have yr very own bbq.would stay again.

It’s quaint - doesn’t have air con be but found it wasn’t required and they have plenty of fans. Couch a little uncomfortable but you don’t spend time in the room. Location brilliant; staff brilliant; close to everything and reasonably priced.

Our room was ground floor with a patio facing the seafront - great view. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Car parking space adjacent to room. Minor gripes would be no tissues supplied in the bathroom, and no safe. No aircon could be a problem in the summer. The bath (shower only) room was a little cramped. The hot water was plentiful from the bathroom and kitchen basin taps, but for some reason intermittent from the shower.

Booked this motel because of location. Direct sea views over well maintained gardens, own parking space. 200 yards from town centre & ferry. Room was spacious (not overly modern hence 4 not 5 stars), small kitchen area, great outdoor seating (room 7 & 8 especially). John and good lady great hosts. Will book again.

Comfortable stay.
Motel was a it tricky to find and could do with more signage from the town centre and main road. Not everyone uses SatNav. Room was very comfortable and of good size. Well equiped kitchenette. Bathroom was adequate and a little dated. Room overall was clean. Plenty of parking. Hosts were welcoming. Bar and restaurant were well stocked, very comfortable and with good views over the beach. Restaurant food was very good.

We enjoyed our stay at the motel. Staff member was very welcoming and helpful with local activities. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Beachfront location and walking distance to restaurants and ferry and other attractions.
