I’m not artistic at all but I appreciate those that are talented. Today I visited the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY and was simply amazed at the quilts on display. Believe it or not, this is a picture of a quilt. Wow, what talent.
This sign explains Paducah history in just a few sentences also. It's right before the Illinois border so stop by if your passing near by. Kirchhoff's is the best place to eat.

Discover why this energetic riverside city has a worldwide reputation for arts and crafts, which are inspired by a rich American heritage and beautiful waterways.

Paducah is an internationally recognised creative hub with a thriving arts district and historically rich landmarks. Located at the heart of America’s breathtaking inland waterways at the confluence of the Tennessee and Ohio rivers, Paducah has witnessed national history since its early 19th-century foundation. Its captivating stories are chronicled in magnificent architecture and heritage sites.

Check out Paducah’s Historic Downtown to wander through streets lined by elegant 19th-century buildings and monumental landmarks. The city’s fascinating timeline can be followed in its museums, interactive exhibits and murals. From the riverside region’s earliest inhabitants to the city’s settlement by William Clark of the Lewis and Clark expedition, the River Discovery Centre provides an insight into Paducah’s long history.

Visit the Market House Museum and admire its 1905 façade. Learn the city’s role in the Civil War at the Lloyd Tilghman House & Civil War Museum. Civil rights history comes to life at the Hotel Metropolitan, which celebrates the lives of its famous African-American guests during the segregation era.
