This lovely home is located right on Butter Creek here in Packwood. 3 bedroom/2 bath, sleeps 6-8. Just a short distance to White Pass, Mt. Rainier. Only minutes from town.

With a fire pit just near the creek you are surrounded by trees and very secluded even with neighbors! Large deck with table and BBQ makes a great spot for a family getaway! Close to Mt Rainier, white pass skiing and the famous Packwood Flea Market!

Clean and Functional

I’ve stayed here 3 times. Easy booking and check-in. Clean kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms. Living room furniture is somewhat dated but clean and functional. The deck is spacious but uneven decking could be an issue for those not sure on their feet. New BBQ was nice and a much needed addition as the old one was well past its lifespan. Plenty of parking. Overall a nice place to stay and priced right for what it is.

The grounds were very pretty— the kids liked going down to the river to play. Tho there were neighbors, it felt very secluded and quiet. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and laundry was fully stocked. Close to the Rainier— around a hour to Sunrise and hour to Paradise. Very responsive host. The toilet seat was cracked and he fixed it the same day. Would stay here again. Thank you!

Mt. Rainier base

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Plenty of space inside and out, and convenient to the southeast and southwest entrances of the national park. Kitchen was stocked well and plenty of towels to go around. We loved the back yard!

Clean comfortable home

We stayed at this home while skiing at White Pass. It was very comfortable in most ways, although the mattresses upstairs could use an upgrade. The directions were very clear and everything went smoothly. When I had a problem starting the dishwasher the response was immediate and helpful. I recommend this home.

I booked this cabin through Expedia, and while the property itself is generally fine (note: there’s no AC), our experience was deeply unsettling. During our stay, my group had to split up for a few hours, and only one person had a key—so we left the door unlocked. When we returned, the door was mysteriously locked. This means someone entered the cabin without our knowledge or consent. We chose not to report it instantly, as we didn't want to create tension while still on the property. After our trip, I did contact the management to report the incident. Instead of taking our concern seriously, they immediately responded with, “Why didn’t you tell us immediately?” and insisted that their records showed no one entered the cabin. However, there is no other logical explanation for what occurred. To make matters worse, their communication was combative and dismissive. They acted as if I was making it up, and implied that posting a review was some kind of threat. If you value your privacy, safety, and respectful service, I strongly recommend avoiding this cabin and any property managed by TMC Vacation Company.

Wonderful Gem of a Home

This was a perfect spot for our little family getaway. We were in town for the flea market which was just minutes from the house. The house itself was clean and homey. Although it was a busy weekend with lots of people around, there is good privacy with lots of trees and the outdoor setting was great! The only thing I would say needs attention are the ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms. When turned on, they did not seem very secure (lots of rattling and shaking out of the norm…the living room fan was fine) so we did not use them, which made it a bit stuffy upstairs. Other than that, would highly recommend Buttercreek Cabin!

Great snow ski getaway

This is the perfect place if you want to be close to town amenities and skiing White Pass. Nice big kitchen as we love to cook a big meal after a full ski day. This home had a carport which was a lifesaver as it snowed a ton. Two things we really enjoyed.. master on main level and the house was extremely easy to heat. We will be making this our homebase for future trips. Oh... The property management group gets an A++ for all the help they provided. Top notch!

Well stocked & quiet

This was our base camp for 2 days of skiing at White Pass. Plenty of space for our family of 4. Kitchen was well stocked. Upgraded Smart TV in living room was a nice surprise. Lots of board games and DVDs on hand. The master king bed was too saggy for our liking (tired memory foam?), sloping to the center. And we could have used a snow shovel to clear the porch entry, so as not to track snow inside. Overall it was a pleasant stay in a quiet area.

Oh my God beautiful

This home felt like a home. We cooked our meals and the kitchen was fully stocked! Beds after a day of hiking were so comfortable. Listening to the creek in the back was relaxing. Huge deck!! I would recommend handrails at front entrance and deck steps...i did fine at 59 but my 75 year old sister struggled. All in all I hope to be back to Mt Ranier and stay right here again.

Great Stay

We met our family for an early Christmas at Butter Creek. We had a blast playing games and hanging out. The house had plenty of room for us and had plenty of space for us. We would definitely stay here again.
