"The staff at the front desk were not very friendly. Since I booked via Expedia the front desk commented that I would have to pay extra to check in early. The comment and her tone immediately made me feel as though I was a lesser customer. Additionally we went to the restaurant as we waited to check in and my daughter and her family joined us for lunch (as they were awaiting their flight to depart for Florida) so there were 8 of us for lunch. The restaurant just opened and we were the only customers. We ate lunch and adjourned to the lounge where we were told we could not sit as that was now being used for lunch. We then adjourned to the waiting area in the lobby area and after a short while a woman came up and told us we couldn’t sit there as this area too was now for lunch customers. I was mortified. I immediately asked the woman where was I to go as we were waiting on our room and that we had just spent a couple hundred dollars having lunch at the restaurant what else did we need to do to be able to sit while we waited for our room. She immediately apologized and said we could sit there. This was the most uncomfortable embarrassing event I have ever experienced while traveling. I would have to be desperate to pay for this type of treatment in the future. It’s truly unfortunate that such a highly rated Hotel would treat customers like this."
