Stayed at this hotel for one night before heading home from vacation. We were told we had to pay for amenities but didn’t even have time to use them, which was a huge waste of money. Also, we were hoping to get a good nights sleep before a long 24hr-day of travel, but unfortunately, we were on the 3rd floor and the area was extremely noisy and kept us up until 2AM.
Despite this, the staff were friendly and the lobby and room was kept very clean.

We had 3 adults staying there. It was advertised for 3 adults, however, the futon foldout was only big enough for a kid. We took pictures of our adult kids and their heads went over the futon. However. After complaining, the owners dropped off a double/queen blow up mattress, about the 3 day into the stay, meanwhile one of the kids had to move into our room.
So, bad news, the room was not set up for 3 adults, but good news after days of complaining, the bed was corrected.

The room was gorgeous! Bravo for the elevated and tasteful decor. The exterior does need a little facelift here and there as it is an older hotel, but there is a "classic," old Hawaii charm about it. Bell Attendant was a bit pushy when we did not let him take our bags before check in - asking repeatedly - when guaranteed check in was only 30min out. Other than that, the staff at the Veranda was so nice and cheerful and dinner at Arancino was amazing. This is a great option to stay outside of Waikiki.

Fantastic location in the middle of Waikiki and directly on the beach, with excellent restaurants (Duke’s, Hula Grill) and entertainment (Blue Note, Duke’s). Room was recently renovated and was comfortable, clean and had a nice partial view of ocean. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Hotel is being renovated so it impacted the elevator availability and made things a bit messy and congested on the ground floor (LL). It added a good amount of noise, too, during the day, though we were rarely there. Many people struggled operating the elevator.
Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed ourselves

"We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency Waikiki! The location was excellent, right across from Waikiki Beach, and the hotel was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our first trip to Hawaii. We would definitely stay here again!"
