"Basic motel style but no twin rooms, the price at the place was 600baht for a single and 1200 for a double so we asked to change to 2 singles, which caused mayhem and we kept being put on the phone to someone who spoke English but still said we’d have to pay extra, eventually the lady took us to a suitable room but no top sheets and the bedcover was filthy. The shower was great though and bathroom clean, no bedside lights."

The purpose of this trip was visiting family, besides that visiting the Temple Wat Rong Khun , amazing only 1 hour drive. "We had the best time at the Doowall this week. It’s quiet and serene at the hotel and it’s only a short distance from the White Temple. Coming back in at night and seeing the temple sparkle in the dark is a truly magical moment, especially when in a Tuk Tuk. The food was incredible, I will think about that yellow curry with crispy mushrooms for the rest of my life. The staff was so helpful and kind. I cannot thank them enough for making such a magical experience. The only downside is I only booked three nights and had to leave far sooner than I would have liked. It does get a bit chilly in late November so bring a sweater! "
