"The hotel manger asked for $350 cash to hold in case of damages to the room. Upon check out he went through the room and found an empty soda bottle and a white croc sandal under the bed, neither of which were the guests, but took $50 from the cash held for the room because garbage was left. The room was $210 per night, I would expect this to include cleaning the room and removing garbage. He was handing out garbage bag to other guest making them clean their own rooms before leaving. All guests happen to also be Indigenous. I am not Indigenous and never in my well over 1000 stays in hotels have ever encountered this situation. In fact if something was left i would probably be contacted not charged $50. Don't stay here and support such racists behaviour. I will be taking this further."
"Fine for an overnight stay. I particularly appreciated the nice coffee/tea tray. The internet went out and there were few electrical outlets to plug in devices. No lift to the second floor, which was a bit odd. But clean and comfy bed."
"Positives:
-Outside grounds and lanes appeared well maintained.
Negatives:
-Unit had dim lighting.
- air conditioning unit dripped water on daughter’s bed. When I moved the bed away from under the a/c unit, there were a number of dead bugs under the bed, and my daughter wouldn’t see there.
-bathroom was very sparse, and the shower stall had been poorly maintained.
-bedding was old and well worn.
-staff was nonexistent

"The hotel room is spacious and clean. The front desk staff are very friendly, however l was a bit disappointed with their knowledge. Eg. I asked and l was informed that there are no bus services to the town centre, and my best option is to go and walk there.
I took a 35 minutes walk to the town centre and l found a bus ride back to the hotel with a bus stop 50 metres away outside the hotel.
I also discovered that the hotel has a bus shuttle service to the town centre on a limited schedule. 1st service around 1 pm, roughly around the time l was at the reception desk.
It was my 1st time staying in Alice Springs."
