"Waterfront property with amazing views of the city! Free Sauna on the water for a quick plunge and private outdoor bathtubs available to reserve. Original wood beams and the biggest wood fireplace ever in the lobby was a great touch! Fantastic breakfast included."

"Aalesund City Apartment was a pleasant place for our family to finish our trip through Norway. The location was convenient, and the building was easy to find after arriving by Uber. We stayed in the fourth-floor terrace unit and appreciated being allowed to enter a little early, although we waited on the terrace while the cleaning staff finished preparing the apartment. The unit was clean, modern, and newly renovated. The kitchen was well equipped, and the cookware and utensils appeared to be in very good condition. The main challenges were the size and accessibility. There is no elevator, and carrying luggage up four floors on very narrow stairs could be difficult, especially for guests with large or heavy bags. The apartment itself was extremely small and felt quite tight for our family of three. The bathroom was also very compact, particularly the shower. The room became warm at night, there was no accessible air-conditioning control, and opening the windows resulted in considerable street noise. The washer-dryer combination was convenient, but unfortunately, the drying function did not dry our clothes properly. Overall, the apartment was clean, modern, and conveniently located, but it would be better suited for one or two travelers with light luggage rather than a family needing additional space."

"Great hotel, very convenient location and good breakfast. My television was not working and when I went to the reception I got batteries for the remote. No offering to have a look or have some else would look. I replaced the batteries but no luck. I just left it with it but poor service. On the other hand on check in the staff were great so could be a one time off. Parking is very tide so be aware if you drive a bigger car."

"Beautifully appointed apartment in the heart of Ålesund. Hosts have done a great job anticipating the needs of their guests. Cookware, Nespresso with coffee pods, washer and dryer with soap, hairdryer, plenty of towels, WiFi, TV, umbrellas, view of the water from the living room, wine fridge, closets with convenient storage, and so much more. Outstanding communication from hosts. Highly recommend this apartment and the hosts! Tips for Americans - the apartment is on what we call the 3rd floor (Norwegians call it the 2nd), you will need to carry your bags up the stairs as there is no elevator. The dryer has a tank for water it removes from your clothes and it must be emptied or the dryer will stop working. Apartment is beautiful, clean, and we’d love to visit again!"
