Eagles Palace - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
1/5 Terrible
"The hotel itself was lovely and the beach was tranquil and beautiful , unfortunately everything else was disappointing. The food in all restaurants was boring, very expensive and not very good.Very little on the menu across the board in all of the onsite restaurants. The service was probably more like 3 star rather than five, you would often be kept waiting before you were attended to and the whole customer service experience was pretty unprofessional. The mens toilets nearest to the foyer had overflowing bins of used hand towels every night, overflowing to the floor. I did report it one night but nothing was done and was a recurring issue every night. The attention to detail was very poor and things like that were completely overlooked. The nearest village was a 15 euro cab ride there and a 15 euro back, ten nights cost us three hundred euros which was ridiculous on top of the transfer fee to and back from the hotel from the airport,we ended up spending five hundred euros in cab fares for the entire trip which was ridiculous. We felt that that the Hotel could have laid on a free shuttle service to and from the hotel to the village as it was the only place you could go to outside of the hotel and was not accessible by foot regardless of its distance. It could also provide a free transfer service from and to the airport other hotels that are cheaper do. Wi-fi was terrible, hotel full of infants runing around with no control from parents or hotel staff. Booody awful place!"
