"The location of the hotel just outside of the Latin Quarter and on the river was outstanding. Overall, very nice hotel. Our only complaint was no working air conditioning and it was quite warm during our 2 day stay. Room was hot and uncomfortable. We talked to the hotel staff and they told us a local transformer had sustained damage, thus no working air conditioning. I did not challenge, but all other electrical in the hotel was operating just fine. I talked to another couple staying at the hotel and they also did not have working air conditioning. I am speculating the hotel management made a decision to turn off air conditioning given typical temps that would be expected in the Galway area during this time of year. I wish they would have simply stated this assuming this is the case. They did provide a fan and provided us with a complimentary breakfast for one of our 2 mornings at the hotel without us requesting, which was nice. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again, and would hope for working air conditioning. We stayed at several hotels during time in Ireland (across the country) and all had working A/C except the Leonardo Galway."

"It’s right in the middle of the action on Quay Street. Earplugs are provided. But a $15 white noise machine blocked out all the noise. The front desk staff is the most helpful I’ve ever encountered."

"We found the hotel clean, modern and well laid out. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful without exception. Our room was comfortable and served our purposes perfectly. The restaurants were so good we only ate in the hotel and didn't feel the need to eat elsewhere. Very happy customer S."

"I arrived at the location, hoping that I could do a Zoom call for business and quickly learned that I had 1.5 MB in the room closest to the router. If you’re looking to run any business calls from this location, please know that they don’t have Wi-Fi to hold it. I opted for a phone call instead, which worked well. The breakfast was wonderful and the hostess incredibly hard-working, thoughtful, and kind. The property is slightly dated, but I was thrilled with my stay. There are no ways to heat water in the room or a kettle. Everything was fabulous. Otherwise if you don’t need the Internet or a kettle, it’s a perfect stay!"

"We had a great stay at the G. The hotel is just outside of the city center, close enough to walk, easy enough to grab a car and be there in a few minutes. There is a small shopping center directly behind the hotel if you need anything. The staff is incredibly helpful with anything you need or just to have a chat. The lounge and restaurant are beautifully appointed with nice views of lake. The food is some of the best food we ate in London and Ireland. The rooms are spacious and clean and have great space to hang your clothes and put everything away so you feel at home. We would highly recommend staying at the G while in Galway!"

"Lovely staff, well-maintained hotel, and spacious, beautifully designed rooms. The brick interior walls make the bedrooms exceptionally quiet. Excellent parking facilities plus a bus stop right across the road with a quick 15-minute ride straight into Galway."
