We had a great stay at this property. It’s very peaceful, and we love listening to the sound of the stream. Truth be told this was my parents property at one time, and we have always enjoyed staying here. Would definitely recommend this for your family, lots of room and great value over any hotel. Close to town and attractions yet far enough in the hills to enjoy nature and solitude.

Great family getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at this home! We appreciate that it was dog-friendly also. The views overlooking the creek were incredible and so relaxing. We had all the cookware, towels, and other amenities we could possibly need. The beds on the main floor were pretty firm but we still slept well. We loved listening to the peaceful sounds of the creek every night, cooking family meals, playing board games, and being able to truly relax here. Thanks so much for hosting us, we’ll definitely be back!

This home is wonderful. As we walked inside what awaited us was the most beautiful stone fireplace. Mom 80) loved waking up and drinking her coffee in front of it. The back patio/porch area overlooks the peaceful and serene river. Many mornings and evening were spent out outside enjoying the ducks that were in the river too. Everything you need besides clothing and personal items were there to make it a special time together with your family and friends. The home cleaning service did a really good job.

Macon memories
We loved the cabin. The tubes are a welcome surprise when we found them in a closet under the house. I would recommend bringing some sheets for the pull out bed if you plan on using it, as we couldn't find any in the house. Easy entry, spacious lovely kitchen overlooking Coweeta Creek. Quiet neighbors to one side, a friendly older couple across the creek who let us use their property to go down the creek and tube back towards our cabin. I wouldn't just take it upon myself to do that without interacting with them first though, if you are just arriving. The house has great wifi connection and split units to keep everyone nice and cool. Overall we loved the cabin and have already recommended it to friends and family. Thank you so much.
Our stay was cozy and quiet. The house has everything we needed! It was clean, comfortable, and it was great they provided little things like soaps and paper products, as well as all the linens. It was great to have all the light switches labeled as well, very helpful. We had an enjoyable experience and would stay again!
The house was very cozy, just what we were looking for on this trip. The kitchen was spacious and well laid out for our needs. The porches and fire pit were wonderful for relaxing on. The beds were all comfortable as were the couches. The living room provided the perfect area for our family to sit and play board games. My favorite part was being able to hear the river while going to sleep at night. We would definitely visit again.
We visited in June of last year and enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back again this year. Everything was great, no complaints from our family. This lodge is a great spot for a fun family vacation.
We enjoyed the home, river, and the town of Franklin. The home had everything we needed

Creek location is nice, decks are nice, otherwise it is an older home with older furnishings. Was comfortable and quiet but the listing is wrong. 70 Weaver Lane, OTTO, NC. Map was wrong so I had to drive an extra 13 miles each way each day.

Peaceful, easy feeling
Quite easy to get to, but felt like you were miles from any highway or town. Heard little more than birds and the creek while outside. Heard nothing or just ripples of the creek while inside.
Quiet little away. Really enjoyed the peacefulness
The house was located right on the river so you can hear the peaceful sounds of the water. We really loved the peacefulness and the calm this home provided. The house however, had an ant problem in both the upstairs bedroom area and the kitchen area. It also needed a few repairs as a few of the doors (office, master bedroom, downstairs kitchen patio to the grill area and the downstairs bedroom) would not lock. The shades in the downstairs bedroom was also damaged and would not roll down. Lastly, there was not a second set of beddings for us to change out the sheets when our children threw up on them, forcing us to have to wash and wait for everything to dry in the middle of the night. We notified vacasa of these issues so I hope they get it fixed before the next rental. Otherwise than these small nuisance, the house met our needs for a week away from the loudness of the city.
Great overall stay thanks to the exterior elements of this property (creek, decks, view). The interior leaves a lot to be desired. NEEDS TLC. We were disappointed to learn theres really only 2 private bedrooms, we had to do a lot of rearranging to make things work for 3 families, but, we still enjoyed our stay. Ticks outside are the worst we have ever seen and we stay in the mountains twice per year! So please check yourself, children and pets often and wear tick spray. I feel like maybe the property manager can take some preventative maintenance to help with this. The property could have been cleaned better, towels smelled, we had to rewash, throw blankets were not washed from previous guests as they had noticeable stains. Some plumbing issues and leaks. But wow is it nice sitting on the back patio deck listening to the sounds of the creek and birds chirping, or taking the tubes (some provided) and walking upstream and tuving back down. Kids also had a great time fishing with a few catches. I believe this place is a great value for where its priced, and would stay again.

Disappointed
The property was a beautiful property, the problem was with checking in late night after driving 7 hours and my rental had not been cleaned from the previous tenants and it was filthy. I was not able to get into the cleaned property until the next day late afternoon. It took me multiple calls and headaches and lost vacation time not to mention lost money spent on staying in a motel my 1st night in town with my pets. It was a nightmare the first 24 hours in town.

Needs a lot of work.
Unfortunately this cabin did not meet our expectations. There was a rat that crawled from the laundry to the closet by the kitchen. 70% of the outlets didn’t work. The entrance to the creek was difficult & unsafe (railing and stepping stones are wobbly). My mom, our dog nor our young kids could get into the creek without help because of how steep the step is and unsafe the area is. We rent our cabins based off the creek so we were disappointed that it was so hard to access. The back doors are hard to lock (you have to hold up both handles simultaneously and turn the lock. Only my husband could do so by using his leg to hold up one handle while turning the lock). The lock entry code is 10 digits, most are only 4. None of the bedroom doors lock. The trash has to be disposed of at the dump rather than the cans outside or there’s a fee. Our master bed was very dirty upon arrival. I have a picture of this. It’s a shame because the house is beautiful but it needs a lot of work and a new cleaning staff.

This cabin needs a lot of work
I hate to complain but this cabin did not meet our expectations and I wish we’d known some things before booking. Our master bed was dirty upon arrival. I’m attaching a photo. 70% of the outlets did not work. None of the bedroom doors lock. There was a rat that crawled from the laundry to the kitchen closet. The back doors are very difficult to lock (only my husband was tall enough to lock them. You have to hold one handle up with your knee and the other handle up with one hand then turn the lock with the other hand). This might be picky but the entry code is 10 digits so we had to look at our phones every time we wanted front door entry. Most cabins codes are only 4 digits. The trash has to be disposed of at the dump rather than the cans outside or there’s a fee. The driveway was hard to turn around in with our van. And mostly, the creek entrance is so difficult. The step down is very steep. The railing and the stepping stones are wobbly. My mom, our dog and our young’s kids could not access the creek without help. We base our cabin rentals off the creek so it was a bummer when the creek entrance was so difficult. The bedrooms are also not ideal for large families. The master is great but upstairs is one room with two large beds. Then there’s bunk beds out in the open and a 3/4 wall separating the bunks and a room with a pull out couch that takes up the entire room. It’s a shame. The house is nice but needs a ton of work and new cleaning team. The neighbors are awesome!

Great location - poorly managed
The following items were already addressed with the management company. None of the items below were addressed during out stay.We arrived and the house had a very poor smell. It was a combination of mold and febreze. Probably by the cleaning people to try to hide the disgusting smell. After we cleaned the entire kitchen, we found a bucket of old water with mold and slime under the kitchen sink. It was from a leak that was obviously there a long time. We emptied the gross contents and sanitized and bleached the bucket, and put it back under the sink. There were comments from other tentants prior to our stay, so both the owner and management company obviously know about the leak and are choosing to not fix it.We also found that several of the comforters were badly stained - disgusting. We also found dirty linens in the washing machine from the previous tentants. We ended up washing and drying them all - but again, disgusting. Many of the outlets in the house do not work. None of the outlets in the downstairs bedroom work. None of the outlets in the downstairs bathroom work. Several of the outlets upstairs do not work. That is unacceptable. The only door that has a lock is the front door with a code. The rest of the doors in the house do not have working locks. So the personal belongings and people that stay at this location have zero safety from any intruders. Not being able to provide a safe environment for renters is absolutely unacceptable.Nothing was ever addressed
