The best time to visit Otnice is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) months, when the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities and exploring the South Moravian countryside.

During late spring, the landscape around Otnice is lush and green, with vineyards and fields coming into full bloom. Temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 22°C, making it ideal for walking, cycling, and enjoying the local wine trails. This period also often sees fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience.

Early autumn offers similarly agreeable weather, with temperatures between 12°C and 18°C, and the added benefit of the grape harvest season. This is a particularly good time for those interested in local culture and traditions, as many villages in the South Moravian region host wine festivals and tastings. The changing colours of the vineyards also provide a picturesque backdrop for photography and leisurely drives.

While summer (July and August) is also popular, it can be quite warm, with temperatures sometimes exceeding 30°C, and attractions may be busier. Winter (November to April) can be cold and snowy, with fewer outdoor activities available.
