The Queen at Chester Hotel - Handwritten Collection
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely luxurious hotel with lots of beautiful areas to sit in. Gorgeous outside area of the suns out. Straight opposite the railway station.
We had breakfast at the pub on the opposite corner which worked out cheaper.
Only downside is the parking but there was plenty of spaces at the front of the hotel where you can park free for 20 minutes and pop in the hotel with cases. There is a sign at reception to scan the QR code and put in the location and pay for the parking online. The car park is through the archway and cost is £17 for 24 hours on a Sunday.
The walk into town is about 15 minutes but if you come out of the hotel and go left and then left again you will come to the canal which is nice to walk alongside into town.
Chester is beautiful and well worth the visit."
"A nice location, good quality rooms.
Shame that there was no food and no bar. When everything is back to the way it was, it will be a lovely place to stay. I feel it just needs some work to bring it up to standard."
