"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects.
That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"Staying at Hacienda Barrigona was like a dream. The property is beautiful and well tended. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. The beach looked like a postcard. The meals were delicious and prepared with great care. But it's the people that make Hacienda Barrigona so special. Lyna and the whole staff were kind, attentive, friendly and helpful. "

"We loved our stay! The pool was quiet and clean. The room was small but very comfortable
Lots of great restaurants nearby, I highly recommend La Cabane just a short walk away, we had breakfast every morning at this cozy outdoor spot. We really enjoyed Lola’s and the weekend market on the corner"
