What a lovely hotel nestled in the hills in Harz. We arrived in the evening amd the staff was very welcoming. We were given a suite, which was quite a pleasure after a long day of driving. The breakfast was VERY GOOD. We enjoyed a swim in the pool before travelling onward. We will remember this hotel amd come again when we are back in Harz.

Der funkler 4 stjerner, og festdekkede bord med hvite duker og stivere servietter er avbildet. Sannheten er litt annerledes. Badet på vårt rom var sikkert 50 år gammelt, og et løst flekkete teppe på gulvet avga en vond lukt. Madrassene i sengene var ikke spesielt komfortable, og de var dekket av uspetittøige brune skjolder og flekker. Pool og badstue var bra, men da jeg tok mitt morgen bad kl 0700 om morgenen lå det våte håndklær slengt utover gulvene i garderoben. Poolpartyet kvelden før hadde etterlatt et lass med tomme ølflasker som stod ved bassengkanten. Restauranten så ut som en sveitsisk fjellhytte. Trehvite .møbler med skaitrekk, trehvitt panel på veggene og ikke en hvit duk noe sted. Derimot plaatblomster og tørre kongler som dekorasjon. Maten var akseptabel. Frokosten var også akseptabel, men det eneste varme på buffeten var tørr eggerøre og kokte egg. Ikke bacon, pølser eller kjøttboller. Heller ikke noe søtt til kaffen, hverken croissanter, kjeks eller kaker. Betjeningen var veldig hyggelig og imøtekommende både i resepsjon og i restauranten.

Dieses Hotel macht vieles richtig, und die Renovierung der Zimmer und Bäder hat sich sehr gelohnt. Alles wirkt sauber und recht neu. Ankunft und Abreise haben unkompliziert geklappt. Auch das Frühstück ist so umfangreich, dass man nichts vermisst. Mit ein paar Kleinigkeiten könnte man den Aufenthalt noch netter gestalten (kleiner Wasserkocher auf den Zimmern, besseres Kissen, etc.). Unterm Strich kann man dieses Hotel wirklich guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.
